City traffic results are far from being objective. You were driving basically at night, avg speed was closer to extra urban, rather than urban cycle. No wonders you made a great result, if you didn't have to stop this beast often and then get it rolling again.

Tolles Video, bin etwas überrascht über den Verbrauch.
Hätte ihn geringer eingeschätzt das ist so ziemlich das selbe wie bei meinem M550i mit 462ps ich würde sogar sagen dass meiner teilweise weniger verbraucht bei 130kmh bemerkenswert :D
gestern eine Strecke von 340km gefahren da lag der Durchschnittsverbrauch bei 8,0 ltr, davon waren bestimmt 70% Autobahn 120-160kmh , rest Land und Stadt.
Man muss aber dazu sagen, dass es einen wirklich gekonnten Gasfuß bedarf und vorausschauende Fahrweise.
Innerorts Großstadt sinds dann doch gerne zwischen 11,5-12 ltr bei viel Stop and Go

Den M550i würde ich auch gerne nochmal testen, es geht doch nichts über einen schönen 8 Zylinder Motor 👌

@@JocarShorts ja das stimmt, ich finde beeindruckend wie laufruhig und kraftvoll er untenrum heraus ist man kann einen starken V8 wie einen Diesel untertourig fahren einfach Genial

With 70% city and only short highway drives a diesel makes no sense at all. Take in consideration that the DPF requires a decent exhaust temp to burn NOx - otherwise it'll clog.

The consumption at 130 actually sucks, even my 2008 e60 530i xdrive consumes 9l at 140

N53 can run on a very lean mixture in stratified charge mode, that helps a ton, but B48/B58 are fantastic engine mate. I know N43/N53 very well, cause I had N43 and now I have B48. My B48 is almost as fast as your car and that B58 in the vid is just a different world. My curreny average fuel consumption is maybe 0.2-0.4 l/100 km higher than what I averaged with N43, while having twice as much power, a bigger, much heavier car, xDrive, much wider wheels.

@@JocarShorts that thing flies, but drinks when speeding. How the regular consumption in the city with a moderate traffic. Still would like petrol, but thinking about 540d due to fuel efficiency. When speeding it barely consumes diesel. I was shocked.
