I feel like that idea for heal suppression after taking damage could be a nice balance change overall, as when you are solo queing trying to get your teammates to actually shoot the healer and not the heavy getting pocket healed is really hard, and it can make some matches so much more painful than they need to be
Its should be a thing, but to balance it out, buff Heal little bit faster when not under suppression
I hate when Embark Nerf thing but over nerf them where the problem is A but they also doing B
For example Heavy C4 should be revert nerf after Canister physics change as it make C4 broken
No one use C4 this day because of this

What are you Gaijin Entertainment?
I think if they swapped it to a gadget with a couple of charges that could be used to instantly skip the regen delay (and increase regen speed until it gets interrupted) it could still be useful for a medic playstyle while not being oppressive in firefights, while also giving Ms some freedom to be something other than heal bots

Some of the bow players I've played with are hands down the most skilled teammates I've ever had. I love a good bow main ❤
I feel like most of the bow mains are just in lower skill lobbies. Probably because everyone else that just wants to use the bow because its fun is just generally not amazing at the game. I am one of those people, and I dont touch ranked or play world tour much because I just suck
How does he level his weapons up so fast?! I've been playing since January and I only have the grenades level 7, nothing else
@@s.197Danny i play a lot lol. I have a good amount of lvl 8 weapons and gadgets, my xp54 is lvl 8, frag, glitch, stun, and more lol
Man I love your content I hope you grow. And be a very successful finals TH-camr. Ik it was random just wanted to say that 😊.

@@Appoh of course.
Because of how much damage can vary between different charge times and headshots I feel it’s always gonna be in a bit of a weird spot. On one hand you 1 tap lights and on the other you tickle your opponent. I think increasing it’s minimum damage a little, reducing its max damage without headshot, and increasing the headshot multiplier could put it in a decent spot. I barely use it tho so maybe that’d terrible idk
@@Cevsy haha i mean i think the intention is to avoid spamming the light attack and to consider your shots. Raising the minimum could work but it might make it too close to tk where u just spam with no consideration and hope ur arrow hits. I just want the time and thought that goes into each shot to matter more
Thanks for the thought provoking balance ideas. That 2x headshot and heal beam delay are interesting ideas for sure. Awesome gameplay btw!
Honestly, all the points you made are what i would like to see a switch between xp and the bow, and it's kinda underwhelming at the time. I think the changes you suggested would work wonders for it
Some of your previous videos (and the contract skin unlock for the bow) got me to try it and I really enjoyed it. I mostly played medium before trying and so the bow got me to play light for more than a random quick cash. I agree it’s so satisfying to use. I especially like that I feel like I have a chance to take out heavy players from a reasonable distance and I like pairing it with the different movement tools light has.
I also think playing with the bow has made my medium gameplay better because it gives me practice calming down and focusing on my aim instead of spraying and praying with an AR.
Damn I love your informational/analytical vids
I feel kinda the same way with the cl40, it needs just a little bit of a buff to be competitively viable
I think that a shorter delay (or higher arrow velocity) when shooting without a charge could be a great change, I often feel like dealing that final blow is harder than it needs to be.
Maybe they could add different types of arrows? Like a poison arrow that does small chip damage or prevents healing for a certain amount of time. I could see a fire arrow or glitch arrow too. I’m not sure if they’d make it work as a gadget slot and you get a couple of shots before it recharges. Opens up some cool ideas though and could attract more people to the bow.
That would be so cool!!!!
Bow Buff when?
But nah in all seriousness its genuinely insane how the Headshot Multip is 1.5x.
Great video, Certainly a Bowment of All Time
The bow is my absolute favourite weapon, I have it level 8 and I’m the only person who mains it in a discord server of like 300 players! Almost all my content I record is on bow lmao
I respect the heck out of anyone using the bow, if you're able to use it effectively it's one of the more unique and cool weapons in the game.
That said I have never gotten tilted from dying to any weapon in this game until the bow. I dont know why this one weapon just ruins me but once i start getting rolled in a lobby by a bow user its all over for me
probably because you know it's weak lol it's the mental dmg of losing to a weak weapon. i feel that way when I die to a dagger or 93r... I'm just like "You bitch you embarrassed me"
Glitch grenades have to be look into. When I tell you I’ll drop it at their feet and it does nothing. Meanwhile, a grenade can land 10 feet away from you and still take a good chunk of health.
@@baIius oh they are very buggy atm
Imagine if bow had option for poison arrows (anti heal) and fire arrows. Also cosmetically speaking of fire for season 4 id love to see blue fire flame throwers green or purple flames and cryo grenades for mediums that act as stun guns to momentarily freeze an opponent in place (to close gap for melee weapons since heavy has winch claw and lights have evasive dash)
Season 4 imagine if lights get a new ability to crawl up walls and ceilings like a spider. Mediums get jet boot ability and heavys get bellyflop that propels them into the air
Absolutely my favorite weapon
love the bow content!
Started playing this game about 3 weeks ago and I've had a shit ton of fun with the bow. It was the one of the weapons which I found was unique to the game, didn't matter if it was bad or good. If I wanted to use other guns, there's a lot of fps games that has those already, but not every fps has a bow that feels good playing as this.
But yea you're right, it's a niche weapon and gets outclassed by any other weapon (not you 93R).
Embark should buff the headshot multiplier on both Bow as well as the 93R, so that there's a hitscan option for those who doesn’t like the bow. Also in Embark's own words, they want 93R to be more headshot-focused than the V9S, so this should be a proper right step in that direction.
Now way he has bow level 7😮😮
It was wild to see that first clip live
For healing…. Decrease how much it heals. Increase how long it can heal. It is currently a burst heal item. Also there should be AOE and self heals to compete with it.
Love the gameplay keep up the great work appoh
Definitely agree with the 2x HS multiplier, doesn’t make sense for the 1.5x…
Agreed the bow is so addicting I hope they find a way to make it more viable in comp. I’ve only been running it in power shift bc I can’t anywhere else really- praying for a power shift tournament though it’s my favorite mode anyways
My biggest source of frustration with the healing beam is its ability to heal someone *while they're taking damage*. What if instead of continuous healing, the heal beam just jump started your health regen? More like a healing dart than a healing beam. Maybe the health regen could be twice as fast as normal health regen to make it more viable? idk (40 hp/s instead of 20 hp/s or whatever it is). Then if you took damage, the health regen would be interrupted and you'd need another healing dart (maybe the healer would need to reload the dart or something).
ok no flame here but I dont really see your points on the bow tbh, bad dps? I dont see why thats bad when you can 1-3 tab each class with headshots, sniper is better? yeah but that scope makes it much harder at close range where the bow seems to be designed to be used, XP is better? sure xp is hit scan but the bow has the range advantage surely and landing any shots will make some if not most lights retreat, again I'm not saying you're wrong cause I haven't even shot the bow I just dont understand how it's a bad weapon when everything I see and feel from what I've seen and experienced tells me it's pretty good, close range sniper thats easier than it inside those ranges and doesn't need to reload, seems good to me
also double or triple heal is a pain no matter what weapon you use unless it's something like the mgl or frag spam cause that much healing is going to fuck you up no matter what and that clip of you trying to stop the steal is a pretty terrible showcase imo since you hit a full charger headshot, then a full(ish) charger body, a short charge body and missed twice, I would be willing to be if that 2nd shot wasn't full charged and you instead fully charged it he would have died, if not the 2nd shot would have
you should try it out and see, it's dps being low isn't the be all end all but a 2x headshot would still be low dps. it just gives you more opportunities to succeed which it desperately needs. Also the xp[ has incredible range, even top players in pro scrims dont even use lh1 anymore because the xp just has incredible range and close range it's just good at everything, there's no scenario where the bow is better outside of landing a near full charge to full charge headshot which is obviously very hard to do. if the xp player gets the jump and the first shot the bow player has no chance, if the bow player doesnt land the first shot it's basically gg vs a good player. Also call of duty should show you that a scope on a sniper does not = bad at close range, quick scopes are very much so a thing and most top snipers are very aggressive with the weapon, snipers out perform the bow IF they land a headshot. if bow had a 2x headshot then it would outshine the sniper in close range , like it should.
I use basically everytihng in the game with tons of hours I am not coming at this from 1 side here. my xp is lvl 8 as well so there's a lot of consideration i've done on my part for this argument.
These changes also wouldnt change its performance much overall. most casuals barely land their shots let alone headshots, it would only really affect the ones who dedicated a bunch of time into learning the bow, and at that skill level it will finally pull itself out of the bottom tiers and maybe be a more balanced weapon
@@Appoh I see I see, 90% of my playtime is on medium and heavy and barely even watch videos of people playing light so it makes sense that the xp is easier than I thought, kinda crazy how a smg outdoes the more dedicated longer range (in theory) options
Awesome video!
Next video on the swords downfall please
been using basically only the bow since it came out, agreed we need more katniss mains (and a 2x or even 1.75x would help so much fr)
@@sybil1394 yeah landing headshots and seeing the enemy with like 10hp breaks my heart man
Wouldn't 2x headshot multiplier mean, that you can almost oneshot a medium. If someone would have a good aim with this weapon, he could solo destroy HMM from almost any distance in 7-9 seconds. And even if not, he could twoshot a light by spamming and getting a lucky head from 3m. Don't know about you but to me it sounds too op and would probably make the bow the next throwing knifes controversy.
L tried to explain this to him with the damage values in another comment and he said l was wrong.
L completely agree since it enables headshot +melee to one shot medium, which might be broken.
@@guilhermedecarvalhofernand1629 Did he said why you were wrong.
@@arturroblox3662 he thinks current sniper is stronger then bow in close range if you quick scope and is hitscan. To top it of it can do the combo to one shot medium due to 2x crit mult. L disagree since even with the quick scope the gun is sluggish in close range, has to reload, does not have accurate hip fire in the ground or the air. While the bow does not care about accuracy penalties like that and does not need to reload. It needs a buff but like that it might break the weapon. Even a 1,75 mult enables the combo 120 x 1,75 = 210+40 melee to get context.
Unfortunately I feel the same way about most of the weapons in this game. It kind of just feels like if you’re not using the AR’s, LMG’s, or SMG’s… or sledge hammer lol, then you’re kind of throwing.
The weapon I’m most disappointed with right now is the dual blades. They just flat out don’t do enough damage and the reflect is too inaccurate. Also medium doesn’t have much chase potential unless you’re in a building with demat.
But it’s also kinda sad how like the burst pistol isn’t good or the grenade launchers are super niche.
I really like your anti heal idea, I think that would be great. Maybe a “poison dart” for lights or mediums. I would also personally like a “slowing” mechanic for mediums. Maybe a poison dart or like some sort of “high frequency magic device” that slows enemies in a short radius. That way mediums have a way of chasing people.
I also think they really need to let people access their reserves upon death in world tour. It makes no sense why you can’t do that. That would allow for common sense counter picks, and doesn’t force you to be hard punished for picking like a grenade launcher when everyone’s a heavy being healed or something.
Im a bow main. i dont think it's as bad as you're making it out to be, im afraid theyll take away that learning curve that comes with the bow if they do end up making changes to it. The only change id make is the headshot damge multiplier. i totally agree with you on that part. I just dont want that throwing knife issue or the lh1 issue where they make it insanely easy to use and everyone starts using it
I preface this with that bow is my least favorite weapon to play as and against. That being said I do think it could use a scaling headshot multiplier where it goes from 1.25 to 2.25 at uncharged and fully charged respectively with the large caveat that its base dps would go down a lot as a result to keep its effective damage relatively the same. I think it should have an anti heal effect but it should only take effect on fully charged shots. It should also not have its base damage scaled on how charged the bow is as I think that that would add a lot in the realm of skill expression.
I’ve been trying to get better with the bow but the problem for me is that I’m so inconsistent, like one game I’ll be hitting all my shots and the next I get like 3 kills.
Up the damage to 125 so you can down a medium in 2 hits and give 2x damage for headshots and it can be viable.
@@VenomusScorpion 125 and 2x would maybe be op lol
Increasing draw speed would be a great buff idk
They should make it like the huntsman from TF2
Glitch grenade gets rid of heal beam . That mitigates that whole problem of 2 headshots. I agree the bow should have higher headshot damage...just like the magnum should
@@Valkyriecorp i did talk about glitch nades in the video
@@Appoh I know I am aware. I agree glitch nades should have a longer affect but you can most definitely press the advantage of you play aggressively for at least a kill. Then glitch them with the second to stop them from revive
@@Valkyriecorp it's more for comp play, in wt n casuals i can run anything and be fine. coordinated teams dont give you that time
@@Appoh I agree doesn't matter what you really run . If you're not at parity with a team you're fighting ...you're a coin purse in seconds lol
Bro i love your content
I love using the bow I have it on level 4 rn. I kinda hit a plateau with it with the nerf to dash as well as the heal beam. The heal beam is crazyyy against it lol.
1:08 the bow also not having muzzle flash?
I don’t know man. Watching you play with it makes it seem OP. Haha
Poison arrow would be dope, or bleed. But then you'll have to add those to other weapons
It is, just need to be a pro like you 💯
The bow feels bad to fight for the same reason the knives do, idrc that the actual numbers are bad, its effective at every range and does a big number, it will always feel bad and spammy like the throwing knives
The Dissun Sword reward Challenge forced me to use the Bow...... And I got frustrated immediately. I've watched your videos on how to use Bow but it just not worked. After the challenge end I swear to never use that sht weapon again.
i'm being so fr when i say they should remove sniper and replace it with bow
u run that bow until u run into a team that kicks u out the tourney lol. i understand this is a niche weapon, but this weapon only works against average players (generally speaking). when u go up against a good 3 stack (while you're also 3 stacking) and they give u the business, it goes to show u that the bow is in fact underpowered, and this is something u already know. We played against u guys in Kyoto couple days back (we were double H and 1 M) and your squad did not make it. yall did not stand a chance because as good as u are with the bow, and as good as ur teammates were, that bow dps is not doing to do enough when good players are returning solid shots in return and have good positioning. u ended up switching to heavy right after that game (i came to ur stream to see if it was actually u or someone else with the same name) and u said something about "man everyone is running meta" i mean what do u expect lol, most of us are regular people who aren't ultra sweats that dont game 8 hrs a day but still good so of course we're going to run the best set up to help us win lol. ggs tho
yeah I typically try to lvl my gear to lvl 8 and talk to chat when im in world tour so I don't really try for wins too often but most people in Wt usually just chill and use random stuff as well but that day was just full of sweaty meta comps. so I swapped to heavy and medium later (although I do this every session because I love flexing, I'm not a 1 trick just main the bow). I have used the bow vs good players when I'm trying and done well but it still needs some helps to get to the point where it truly competes. light in general is just not as strong as med and heavy anyways. until they add ranked back I don't know anyone who really takes WT serious, season 4 better bring us ranked tourney!!! fingies crossed
Bow and Throwing knives need a nerf
It is a 2x multiply on headshots
Random question I have been out of the loop lately but did they change the way support score works? I hit ppl with tracking darts and sonar grenades and a lot of the time I get no support score. Does TA do it differently or was there a change in how it works?
I dont think it being a projectile is as much a downside as people think. Coming from TF2 (yes the hitbox in that game is jank) you realize that long projectiles give a window to hit, whereas hitscan is an instantaneous moment. I honestly think that is easier to aim between point blank and 30m than most guns, especially when it doesn't require a sight to be accurate. I just like the sound the sniper makes more. Its probably hard to balance 2 shotting a heavy, the shotgun requires you be in their face and still aim, but the bow 2 shotting from any range would be scary. They'd need a specific condition like adding specific ranges in which that can occur.
its strong but hard to use so it's balanced
I started using the bow since the beginning of season 3, I love it but it's so painful to play with it, especially since I'm on console aiming with the bow on controller is really bad. I would like to see changes like that to this weapon but also to other weapon that I feel like would be very interesting in the meta like the v9s
Same here. Bow on console is way to hard. They really should revert the aim assist nerf
@@schneelux I don't think the aim assist nerf is the problem here
@@user-qw9yj1mp1g So what do you think is the problem?
Okay now stop making people like my weapon
Throwing are stronger. I was in a close fight versus a dude using throwing knives. He threw two knives and I died. Either the xp needs a buff or the knives need a nerf. They’re too strong imo
l still feel like the xp 54/ mp5 needs a fall off or recoil nerf. After the AR nerfs to medium the thing became a AR with lower magsize and recoil but better or similar dps. L know its slightly worse then AR in the range department, but still too good for what a SMG is supposed to do. The thing gatekeeps you for using a lot of guns light has because its too good of a all round.
Now for the bow, 2X multiplier is not a small change, it is a massive boost for pick potential. against medium. You are going to be able to oneshot in close range due to headshot+melee(240+40) and unlike the sniper the weapon is much better at close range due to not having a scope and no needing to reload. L don't think the bow should be that strong in close range where the projectile aspect of it is less important, this is a bow not a shotgun. Heck even 1,75 multiplier enables that combo, since the base damage for full charge is 120, 120x1,75 = 210+40 melee. If you gonna increase the multiplier l suggest lowering the base damage slighly to 115 or 110, so now put the multiplier to 1,75x.
but sniper can do this combo while also having hit scan for incredible long range. I don't think it will make it too strong at all. it would require a full charge and to land a headshot which is easier said than done. the bow is in a pretty bad spot realistically, making it a 2x gives it a fighting chance, also the model 1887 can also 1 shit melee combo vs a light and heavy can 2 pump the sa12 and win fight. realistically the bow has a lower chance of winning these fights considering how much harder it is for the light here.
@@Appoh yeah but the difference is those guns you mentioned are shotguns. the bow you can still use for medium range with much better effective damage then model 1887 or sa12. and in the sniper case the scope is a huge disadvantage for cqc.
The thing is, sniper is just better at close range. I've been using pretty much only bow in season 3, and I had rarely used sniper before, but when I picked up sniper for a challenge, I instantly did much better then I had ever done with bow. Quick scoping makes it very powerful at close range, and it still holds complete power at long range. With a 2x headshot multi it would essentially be a close range sniper rifle, with some more malleable uses at all ranges.
As a bow main I completely agree with you with the headshot damage, on the other hand I really enjoy playing it since a lot of people don’t play it. I used to play a lot of model in s1 and s2 but now i almost see every medium with it…
If the bow gets a buff I'm done with this game. We already have enough roofs campers
Where are you located and when do you usually get on? I’d love to come across you randomly at some point and face off
Played beta, didn't play much at all of season 1 or 2; but when the bow got added, that's when I really started playing the game for real. I'm really inconsistent with landing shots with the bow, so I've been practicing trying to make more of the shots, that I do land, headshots. Changing the bow headshot multiplier sounds interesting. Got nothing else to say, I just like bow weapons in games.
🎉
I've been using it a lot too. Once Cashout is ranked again, it'll really need some buff or I won't be able to play it as I climb the ranks. I do think the heal thing would be tough to understand and probably frustrating. The multiplier and maybe the slightest of increases to draw speed (and effectively fire rate) would be great too, imo.
@@tjbourke i kinda enjoy the fire rate now because it takes precision and timing. I worry if they increase the speed it will be another throwing knife scenario where it just gets spammed and people claim its op.
@@Appoh Makes sense. Despite using it lots, I still don't have a feel for the difference in damage between draw time. Mostly I like the skill required to lead a shot, very satisfying when you're dialed in.
you light mains always want to wipe out single handedly all other people, always complain about your weapons, and want no one to stand a chance before you no matter what are their loadout. The way things are now, are balanced. Already people hate lights with their High DPS and speed and cloak.
complaining about the bow not being powerful enough while displaying footage of exactly why the bow does NOT need a buff is wild
