Hey thanks for you video cool demo, you know what I just bough a Gibson 2008 SG Special (used) with those 490R and 490T, and I have a problem with the pickups. They sound muddy, the bridge pickup sounds too trebly I am not happy with the pickups they way they sound. I am into classic hard rock, AC/DC, Skynyrd, Allman Bros, ZZ Top, Sabbath, Zeppelin, that kind of stuff. Someone suggested I get the Pearly Gates Seymour Duncan. Can I get more of that sound with the Pearly Gates? I have an Epiphone Les Paul Traditional Pro, with Open Zebra Coil Alnico Classic Pro Humbuckers w/Coil tapping (Neck) and an Open Zebra Coil Pro Bucker 3 Humbucker with coil tapping in the bridge pickup).
Angel Martinez Hi, I still have these pickups in another guitar and I don't think they are muddy or shrill. In my opinion they are reasonably good pickups. Maybe it's a matter of EQ setup in your case. Maybe I would try to have them checked if they are properly connected. I would say that any PAF style pickup do the thing in Classic Hard Rock stuff. I have never played Pearly Gates so I don't have experience with them. I am happy with Burstbuckers 1 and 2. Chek video with them.
The 1995 SG Special im looking at does not have the crown inlay on it. is it fake?
Hi, I had a sticker on it :-D
Thank you very much :-)

Ok, thank you.
490t should not sound muddy. maybe remove cover if it has one. otherwise, you gotta get a good tube amp.
Ebony fingerboard? :)
Hi. I dont own guitar any more, but I can remember it was very nice dark piece of rosewood.
@@mmazar Hi
What do you mean..you don't own guitar now?
It's like you stop playing the way you wrote it
@@dimitrisaivaliotis5616 Hi, I still play the guitar. I just do not own this one in the video.
@@mmazar thanks 🙏
I like your playing
Why did you sell the sg?
I believe it sounded good to your hands
@@dimitrisaivaliotis5616 It sounded great but I have bought a Les Paul so I did not need another guitar with 2 humbuckers.
