Refreshing to see them back. I remember back in the mid 2000's their first album was on repeat on my CD player (yeah remember CDs? lol). In 2004-2005 when Philippine music industry was flooded by revivals and remakes Hale was considered a breakthrough. Just when we thought gone are the days of original music produced by great artist such as Eraserheads, Rivermaya, Parokya, Grin Department...along came Hale and though some may argue that their music was inspired by foreign artists like Coldplay, Oasis or Keane, they served something that Pinoys where hungry for at the time. Im particularly talking about their debut album which spoke to my generation and is as effective as the first day it was released. I always thought that it belonged to any top 3 best Filipino album/s of all time. And the way all the songs (most dearly TDYSG, Broken Sonnet, Here Tonight, Kung Wala Ka) still echoes the hurt like it was yesterday is a testament to the album's classic stature.
Its been 12 years,we have our own lives now.but the pain still feels the same. This songs was my soundtrack.haha
