Mt Maunganui Beach. The climb to the top of Mt Maunganui is a cheeky little walk. When ever I stay at the Mount I feel obligated to climb it every morning then adjourn to one of the beach front Cafes for a muffin and a coffee (if the surfs up I might go for a paddle)
For choice Fish and Chips whilst at Tauranga city:try Bobby’s Fresh Fish Market situated where The Strand and Dive Crescent meet.Always serving a delicious meal.

Like 'OW") Down the bottom of the Mountain is the township of Mt Maunganui. Tauranga is over the bridge to the right. I was born in Whakatane, no far from where you are. I live in Melbourne Australia and have not been back to NZ for 15 years.
@@GlenAndMado northland is very warm compared to Auckland an lower but it's been a wet afternoon .safe travels and good on you for being so approachable to friendly locals .it will get you a long way👍👍

Food quality is a lot a lot better then North America anyways! Its really good standards and taste but the cheese ain’t the best 😂 anyways we are enjoying it so far and it’s a little more expensive here compared to Ireland.

It's pronounced Tau rong a, "Tauranga" it is more like the "nga" sound in Tonga T "onga". Good luck.
