Tropical Seascape Pour! 🌊 Flip Cups AND Swipes With Claire and Nate

- It’s time for another collaboration with Claire and Nate! This time we are headed to the coast: Nate picked the theme of seascapes, Claire picked the technique (flip cups AND swiping), and I picked the colors!

For my tropical beach, I started by brush-painting a sandy color on the bottom of the canvas. Then I did two flip cups without silicone, followed by some little wavy swipes with a cell activator. When the painting was dry, I added a few very simple brush touch-ups to get it looking exactly how I wanted it!
My paint is all mixed with floetrol (about 2:1 floetrol to paint) and thinned with water to a medium consistency. Paint-mixing video is here! • Mixing Paint for Acryl...

Titanium White (Sargent)
Bright Aqua Green (Blick Studio Acrylics)
Ocean Green (Master’s Touch Acrylics)
Pearlessence (Creative Inspirations)
Metallic Gold (Creative Inspirations)
Metallic Teal (Blick Studio Acrylics)
Metallic Blue (Artist’s Loft)
Pale Gray-Blue (semigloss house paint)
Sand (custom blend)

Cell activator: Amsterdam Titanium White, mixed 1:3 with Australian Floetrol

Summer is around the corner and I can tell by the thumbnail of this video there will be some flip and swiping techniques excited when this comes out which is in 13 hours the waves reminds me of the ocean rising up 🌊
