Knocked this one right out of the park .
    Homerun presentation .
I'm not sure how I stumbled across your videos , yet I'm enlightened and elated by them .
They stir something inside me that brings me much joy .
This is the class in school I've always wanted and never had .

No mention of the M23 Silver Star here ? I have owned mine for the past 30 years, BSA started to make the Silver Star to fill the gap between the cooking Empire Star & the sporting Gold Star. It was marketed as a sports tourer, production begain in the year of 38 but when war broke out production of the M23 ceased. Sadly it was never resumed after the war came to a close in 45, its a very capable bike & can see 80mph on the clock !

My father nearly bought a Goldie back in 59. Ended up with a Velo Clubman 500. Just as good?? He took it up to 116mph😊

Very nice bikes the Velocette, love their black and gold pant jobs
Company was a bit too small for the modern market and they went all in on the LE and never had enough cash to develop new machines there after

You note that the DB finally lost out to the two stroke brigade by the end of the '60s because it was overweight. The DBD 34 weighed about 380 pounds. The new Gold Star from India weighs 470 pounds. Which model is overweight?

Is there a plan to use the new one in competition?
Doesn’t seem likely does it now 🙄

I can’t see which type of competition the new Gold Star should compete in?
I still thinks it looks nice though.
