In the Chevreuse valley, nestles the Vaux de Cernay abbey, a Cistercian ruin saved by one of the greatest families in France. Departing from the island of Chatou, on the Seine, the ride continues aboard one of the first steamboats, as in the time of the Impressionists. On land, one of the jewels of modern architecture is revealed, the Villa Savoye, designed by Le Corbusier, or the Château de Neuville which has belonged to the same family for three centuries. Finally, in Rambouillet, it is possible to visit the Chaumière aux coquillages and discover the history of the royal sheepfold.
