I stumbled upon Uncle Floyd in 1982 after relocating to NJ from the Midwest. Sooooo happy to see these gems again. And what a humanitarian-the dear Ambassador of Happiness!
That was part of my daily routine, when I was much younger. I even have seen the whole cast live a few times, at the now-defunct Bottom Line nightclub. Many happy memories, especially of the cast working a bit 'blue' during the live sets (simply because they could get away with it in that context).
i was 5 or 6yrs old in port jeff and had to drag our litte b&w tv to one specific corner of the kitchen and press the rabbit ears against the heat register to get floyd in.
Scott Gordon, cast member, attended Mahwah high school. My friend sent a yearbook picture of him in the cafeteria line w/a plate piled high to the show...they aired it & made fun of Scott for a couple minutes. Scott went on a slimfast diet soon after. Always pissed my pants watching Floyd...miss those days!
I haven't watched Uncle Floyd since I was 6 or 7 back in the early 80s on U68. Me and my brother's didn't get any of the jokes but we loved watching this with our parents. Such a reminder of how great it was back then. Most everything today is such garbage.
@@Teeveepicksures It's kinda funny, I see and picture Jackie now, but I grew up with Floyd show first and then long gap in time when I listened to Stern and now ... going back in time , I see soooo much similarities.
Back when Howard Stern was broadcasting on WNBC 660 AM (it became WFAN about 10 yrs later), Skip appeared regularly on Howard's show. One of my favorite Skip moments was when he showed his baseball card collection, he was all serious, yet happy. Was wondering if you had any clips from the Pictures on the Wall, where Skip would always do his schtick like: "Floyd! Floyd! My wife Gladys thought SHE was a bra! Luckily she snapped out of it."........
I used to love it when Uncle Floyd used to crack up in the middle of the skits and it was great seeing him trying to keep it together in the middle of the Oogie skit in this clip. I remember one time when a skit was going slowly and Floyd just started laughing uncontrollably and yelled out 'This skit is DYING!!' My brother and I started to crack up so hard!! 🤣
Great show! I watched it in Chicago in late '82 on WPWR-TV. Unfortunately, it didn't last long there. It was one of those shows that had to be seen over a period of time to be appreciated unless you were from New Jersey.
A homeless man came up to Mugsy, he gave him a dollar......Hurricane Andrew? That's Scott Gordon's garage sale. It was helping out. [Scotti took a ton of ribbing]. ❤❤

Channel 68 from New Jersey. We lived on Long Island. And picked it up and always watched the uncle Floyd show.. Good times.
Me too! My gang watched in Stony Brook,
Uncle Floyd was a critical part of my childhood watching TV. I loved watching his show and laughing and then looking at a scrambled WHT signal!
This stuff is great!
The fact that Uncle Floyd is still out there doing his thing helps me keep faith in humanity ❤️
Elmo on Sesame Street stole Oogie's voice, there is only one Oogie!!
Floyd is soooo talented. Could listen to him singing and playing that piano all day.
Floyd 4 eva
He is a kickass pianist
Such classics.
Love uncle Floyd
They had it in the edge should have stepped over the line
I was lucky to see the Uncle Floyd filmed live in the small audience they had back then. 1985 Newark.
Happy birthday uncle Floyd!!
The laughs always killed me
Still hysterical all these years later! I loved growing up in NY watching the UFS on UHF Channel 68.

Likewise! Setauket NY checking in. My friends and I lived for this.
I sent many drawings of video games to this show. Floyd and his gang liked them.

Such great memories of the show from my teens in the 80's in North Jersey. Thank you for posting these!
Saw him live twice in Bensalem and Trenton what a talent !
I wish I was still tuning in my UHF, putting the antenna in the other room watching this.
Uncle Floyd shows are still funny today.

I love Oogie.
*EXTREMELY stylish ending there!*
*I could watch Uncle Floyd tickle the ivories all day!*
🙂👍🏻♥️
I first saw this show when I was in military school. This was a great relief from the crap I went through.

This was my childhood and the greatest show. Howard Stern took soo much from Uncle Floyd and Beyond Vaudeville
Jackie was the Skip Rooney of the Stern show
and it was phenomenal

Two minutes into this and I can't see from the tears in my eyes from laughing so much!

Oogie was so cute!
OMG im dying hilarious
Please put up some more of Mugsy music parodies I used to love those but there aren't very many on TH-cam anymore.
Uncle Floyd could tickle those keys
Had his Album saw him a couple of times in Bensalem, he doesn’t let much loose on You tube great show, looney skip Rooney was tops
Floyd should make videos of the Voice of the Viewers. That’s artwork sent in by viewers. Like me.
I think Jackie Martling interned here. That’s where he developed his laugh and schtick.
Thank you so much for posting this! I hope this doesn't get pulled.
@Cary Groneveldt Tell him we need a lot more of oogie.
@Cary Groneveldt Tell the powers that be an all oogie dvd would be a huge hit seller.

We got it in East Texas for awhile and it didn't last long here either. At least I got to tape most of the episodes to watch again.
Or living in NYC. Brooklyn.
Black and Blue Grass...lol and Oogie Rules.
I sent in a picture for the wall, I wonder if they ever showed it.
Don’t avoid Uncle Floyd
OOGIE WAS THE BEST PART OF THE UNCLE FLOYD THOSE WERE THE DAYZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Next to Soupy Salesin the 1960s when I was a boy, this is from the 1970s if I am not mistaken when I was a teen. Not Woke nor hip, nor liberal!
Ends the song on a Major 7 chord. The GENIUS of Floyd Vivino. The ‘turnaround’ at 4:32 wasn’t bad either 😅
Floyd where Prohibited.
That’s why there’s no pot around

David Bowie was a big fan
So was John Lennon. It was John who turned David on to Floyd.
😂
But why is there no uncle Floyd Wikipedia? 🤔
Would love to read more trivia about the show
HEY FLOOOOOYD!!!!!!!
