I am a Filipino but I am grateful that an American became Pope at this point in time. He would do well as shepherd of the universal church since Americans are known to have a natural sense of fairness, justice and how things ought to be and have the courage to work towards it. Americans are kind and noble. They sacrifice their lives in the altar of freedom. We have our own history as our witness: our forebears fought together with them shoulder to shoulder during WWII. That's one of the reasons why we are kind to American tourists, because at the back of our mind we never forgot those who came to ours shores to liberate our land from tyranny. That's why we know Pope Leo XIV would do well as the first American Pope. He came from the land of the free and home of the brave.
I think the Florida brother put it best “he isn’t Rob anymore he is Leo the XIV” what insight- this person who was once “yours” is now “ours” he is everyone’s spiritual father and that probably means a change in the relationship and it’s okay to worry and mourn while also be so proud and excited, what smart men!
That was so much fun to watch. I am German, and "our" pope Benedict had an older brother, too. But he was also a priest, nothing remotely like this would have come from his mouth.
I am following all these because of late pope Francis' love and care for humanity ❤❤Pope Leo is ordained from the childhood. I am not a catholic and I am not American but I love everything about these...May God bless him more to bless humanity in his reign as a Pope, Amen🙏🙏
I don’t know , but this is not an elected office , he has been chosen after prayer with insightful thoughts and sentiments He is the successor of Peter , his holiness Leon XIV … He belongs to all of us as our pastor and spiritual leader

We are devoted Catholic from Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬 and I asked my husband who are those candidates nominated for the New Pope and my husband replied to me one from Asia etc, so I said Wow! I'm praying for the cardinal from USA, and when he was announced my Husband told me well at last The Good Lord listen to our Prayers 😭 of Joy running down from my cheeks, and I thank God for listening to our prayers 🙏God bless him and his family 🙏
I love this……. Brotherly love will never change……I was crying watching and waiting…. It was so wonderful !
I'm so HAPPY we got this guy as the POPE! 🙌🏼
You are still a family but Pope Leo XIV now the Father of the world. When he was ordained as a priest he made the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience.Leave everything behind and follow christ. Now he is St.Peter successor more burden to carry on his shoulder.God bless Pope Leo XIV.Let's pray for him coz at the end of the day,he is still a human being❤
Pope Leo is not the father there’s only one father of the world and that is god not the pope
Actually, he's a human 24/7. Just an exceptional one. 😊
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew[a] you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations; Jeremiah 1;5
That school lady unknowingly or knowingly prophesized over him.
Those prothets ant true done r I had 5 none dam did nit come true
His brothers are so guileless and genuine!
The oldest one seems like the fun uncle who might sometimes embarrass you at a BBQ after a couple beers; the other one seems like the uncle who’d listen and give you thoughtful advice if you asked for it. Both genuine for sure.
Irish Catholic here 🇮🇪 joining in the prayers of tbanks and joy for our new American Pope Leo!!! It feels right and good. We need him now more than ever ❤❤❤
Irish Cardinals Americans like Dolan and Burke were not chosen as Pope as Pope Leo XIV with French Creole roots was chosen as Pope
I love these interviews. The thought of his oldest brother giving him a noogie 😂 I'm born and raised Catholic in the state of Utah. It hasn't been easy. So just waiting for the announcement made me feel included with the word. When they said he's American I jumped off the couch and yelled "he's American!" He has such a kind face. And his brothers seem so down to earth. Im very happy today ✝️🙏❤️
Your brother has inspired me to go to church! He makes me cry !!Thats how i know he is the Holy spirit
I'm still in shock. Everybody ruled out an American pope. Even American Catholics. The Holy Spirit works in mysterious ways!
Right people dieing every where
@@Rook98766 Nah. Not really
Seems like a sweet family! Congrats !
They do seem cool, fun and decent folk.
As a born and bred Catholic. I am filled with such hope. My faith hasnt been the strongest and I was turning away from The Church. Tears filled my eyes and he`s American. God is great
Very humble energy of family 😊
Great first interviewer. Thanks for letting big brother talk and share his story.
I am not a Catholic but I loved Pope Francis and I know I’m going love Pope Leo as well. God bless him.
i
ism looking at my faith differently now real people!!
I really enjoyed hearing his brothers share their stories!
Awe this is so nice to hear how he was growing up.
I hope they spend time with him
Chicago has made History yet another time. The first Pope from USA and the first black President in USA both after two years. ❤🎉🙌🏽👍🏼
😒
@janethiser1991. Yes. Chicago. We hear so many negatives
abou it, but get such gems.Go figure.
We all love this family!
Yes, I just wish the brothers would “keep quiet” until they speak to their brother. They can speak about his childhood but not necessarily their private conversations. The brother was talking about movie conclave and wordle etc …. I learned as a child w brother an Augustinian and being Irish to 🤐🤫
My 💔for the brother….. you can tell the hurt and sacrifice!
the Prevost brothers are funny. awesome family. God bless you all
So funny! Can you imagine your little brother becomes Pope?! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
These two brothers are also very good persons..
God bless the pope Leo XIV, GOD BLESS THE WHOLE WORLD 🙏❤️.
🙏 Amen
He still loves you and his other brother. Let him settle. He will reach out. Bless him.
I agree. I understand the brother’s sentiment. He loves and misses his brother already. Big adjustment for everyone.
He called John tho. John received a couple of missed calls from Rob🤭
@@enuffspaceHe probably thought they’d all be together and he’d speak to them at one time. Don’t stir the pot.
@@lovinglife419 he probably missed the group call... They look like a loving family and have nothing but love and admiration for their younger brother who loves them too. Nothing was stirring
@@enuffspace Yeah having brothers myself, I have them on speed dial. Even though he is Pope, I suspect that won't change. The brothers may be the only ones who can probably get away with calling him Rob.
Playing at priest since he was 5 or six! Precious!
For sometime I have said in prayer: its time we have an American pope...I felt it very deeply...now I say 'thank you Lord' and know that is my responsibility to pray for him. And from the Midwest!!! 👏👏👏🎉
Long live Pope Leo the American!
I'm with you-- giddy to have a Pope that grew up in America (in the Midwest, too), watched baseball, etc.-- He gets us!
I love these brothers, so humble and they love their younger brother!!!
“It doesn’t matter where they’re born, they are people first.” This ladies and gentlemen is basic empathy.
Love,from Japan❤
Wonderful brothers,Wonderful family,Wonderful human being
*Fun to watch a real family be family! Far from dysfunctional!*
This pope is representing the world. What a blessing to have a Pope from a variety of backgrounds
“Can I give you communion?” 😂 that was cute
Oh yes!! Adobs!! 😁🤭
Congratulations! Pray for your brother, the Pope!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
That "my little brother" part always cracks me up 😂 Like yeah, he's literally the POPE now, but he still gotta listen to his older bros talk about him wetting the bed or something. This family dynamic is awesome.
Beautiful families give the world good people. I hope His Holiness can change the world & the church for the better.
Wonderful.midwesterners are the most friendly and loving.❤.
I’m so happy for the whole family! Sunday is not only Mother’s Day, it’s also Good Shepherd Sunday & now we have a new shepherd to lead us, praise God‼️ I’d be so ecstatic, elated, euphoric, on Cloud Nine, in Seventh Heaven if my little brother had just been elected pope to lead 1.4 BILLION Catholics! His big brothers did a wonderful job expressing their emotions & their feelings❣️ I think it’s pretty cool that Robert played priest rather than sports growing up. Clearly the Holy Spirit has been upon him his whole life, very similar to most saints. (I am especially thinking about Saint Pio - Padre Pio - who talked to his guardian angel, to Jesus & to Mary from the time he was a little boy of age 5.) I think Pope Leo XIV is going to do wonderful things & I will keep him & his family in my prayers because they’re going to need as many as possible ‼️🙏📿🙏📿🙏🕊️
Lovely comment !! 😃💕🙏 Prayers for our new Holy Father !! 🙏🙏🙏
Wow. Your appreciation is rare & appreciated. TY!
It's the same realization when your brother or sibling gets married or has children; you have to share your sibling with more people
God, please bless and protect Pope Leo XIV, his personal family and his pastoral family. Amen 📿🙏🏼✝️
Pope is not only for Catholics but also for all Christians and all humanity
It is true
I am so happy about the selection of Pope Leo XIV! Sending him Love, Light and Blessings on his Papacy!❤️😇🙏
That's amazing as a little boy playing priest. Definitely was sent by the Holy Spirit to be our Pope. Praise be to God 🙏🕊️⛪
I don’t know , but this is not an elected office , he has been chosen after prayer with insightful thoughts and sentiments
He is the successor of Peter , his holiness Leon XIV …
He belongs to all of us as our pastor and spiritual leader
Of course it’s an elected office! That’s why all those cardinals were in the Sistine Chapel: to elect a new pope.
Well. He was voted.
I am truly touched by your words. Congratulations, and be blessed.
I am very proud to be a Christian Catholic 🙏🙏
Not with this one
God bless and keep Pope Leo XIV; the blessed memory of his parents who gave him life, his siblings and their families; his educators and religious order responsible for his formation. We are grateful for the journey❤
I am thrilled to bits with the choice of our new beautiful pope, I'm so excited his American, I wish him all my blessings, and pray for him and his beloved family, from a true Irish Catholic, Ann from limerick Ireland, God bless us all.
What charming brothers. A great reflection on our new Pope. I'm sure El Papa Leon XIV will always be proud of his brothers.
This is a beautiful interview. Thank you for Catholic Families who are raising children who become priests and even popes. I am blessed to be a Catholic.🙏🏾❤️
❣️💙❣️💙❣️
I like our new Pope, Pope Leo XIV. His brothers are very proud of him, and I enjoy hearing their stories about him. Since his announcement as the new Pope, they haven't stopped giving interviews, which I think is wonderful. Just imagine having a brother who is a Pope; I would feel proud too. God bless Pope Leo XIV 🙏🏼
He’s funny. Pope Leo comes from a good family.
Great interview with the Pope’s brother! What a great interview he should be a talk on the Pope’s radio broadcast! Great interview kudos on this one! You are a winner on this interview!!!
My first time ever watch about Pope's family.. & best thing is English!!
English? Not he has french,Dominican, Louisiana french creole blood.
You are very introspective.. I pray for your whole family!
From Nigeria. The prevost family is beautiful. The family is the nucleus of the society, the seedbed of the Love of God. May God bless St Leo the 14th. Amen 🙏🏽
This is so awesome I love pope Leo even more now !
I pray the new Pope Leo will reach out to his family. Family always needs each other.
