The way he perfectly picks the right amount of each color to create the color he needs
I obviously cannot speak for squash, but if I were working with materials I would need to mix I would make small test batches and weigh out the amount used to get the coloring down because if I use 10 grams here and 2 grams there and it comes out right I can scale it up to 100g and 20g or higher obviously for desired size.
I mean, not to take away from his talent, but obviously he edits out if he mixes the colors wrong.
