I got my rusty metal arches at my local nursery in Riverbank CA. Its called Morris Nursery. I noticed that the person who makes them and sells them to all the nurseries in my area. Janie from “dig, plant, water, repeat” got an arch for her garden and it’s the exact same one. And she lives pretty close to me..
Hi Joan… don’t feel bad for paying the high price. Honestly, if I had the money at the time, I probably would have bought the rose from the Eden website. I’m sure your Rose is beautiful and worth every dime. I appreciate you taking the time to visit me.🌸🌸🌸 Liz

I noticed the more expensive rose had a yellow sign at the top of the packaging that said “premium quality”. Funny how the best rose with the two strong canes was not the “premium”, rose, it was the regular cheaper one😂 Good luck with your roses. I’ve also been seeing a lot about the Eden rose. I watch another YT garden channel and she is in her 2nd year of training two Eden roses up onto either sides of her archway and they are almost reaching the top! They grew so fast! Good luck with yours!💐
Hello nola girl and thank you for taking the tine to comment. Yea that is pretty funny that the lesser quality one had nice strong canes. Haha im super excited to see how they do… i will definitely post updates. I got inspired from watching Janey’s videos from Dig Plant Water Repeat I am sure you have heard of her. Happy new year, Barbara and thank you for taking the time to comment. I have never grown climbing roses, so this will be new to me as well. You're so right about Eden being so popular, I also wanted it but didnt want to spend $65. Thank god I also found it at Home Depot and the health appears to be great on mine! I was so surprised to see this "high end" rose at Home Depot. It is very trendy but for a good reason, it is just so romantic and stunning.
Oh my goodness Alyssa when I too discovered it at Home Depot I was like "No Way" and snatched it up quick!!! hahahaha Yes I agree. . . "romantic" is a great way to describe it. Not only did we save $65.00 but the shipping can be expensive too! I guess we will see how they do right? Mine already has little buds. . . yay I can't wait to see it bloom! I appreciate you taking the time to comment! xoxoxox Liz
Yes, you are right. I’m sure the heirloom roses are amazing. Maybe someday I will be able to afford those. You have a great point and thank you again for your comment.❤️👍🥰Liz
You’re going to love this rose. It’s truly a showstopper! Just a quick fyi, the heirloom roses one is expensive because it’s an own-root rose (not grafted) so if the top dies for any reason, it will still come back up from the roots as an Eden and not dr.huey (the root stock). But you can have own root roses too. Just wait till this grows out and make cuttings. It will be a fun project and you’ll have a bit of “insurance” in case something happens to one of these 👍
Hello Garden-Oasis and thank you for taking the time to comment.Yes I have learned about Heirloom roses being their "own root" totally worth the price for sure. Maybe one day I will try one out!!! I appreciate your tip about making cuttings. . . I never thought about doing that so I thank you for that great idea!!! I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to stop by! Happy New Year! Liz
Beautiful video. Eden roses are always very impressive and showstopper. I have Eden rose ( Eden 85) and pretty in pink Eden on order to arrive in spring. All the best for coming season.

@@GardenHappy Happy New year Liz. Your garden is beautiful. I do have several DA and Kordes roses in our garden here in England. Will add two Eden climbers to my rose collection this spring. Your Eden roses will perform very well in CA climate as they are heat tolerant. All the best.

Hi Ms. Garden Happy, hope you're having a lovely rose day. Even if your just smelling the roses or enjoying the garden is a blessing. Colors, bird chirping and just being in a peaceful place is a nice! I'm new to planting roses and wondering how to care for them. Any suggestions? How do you keep your blooms lasting for an enjoying time? Any tips are really appreciated. Thank you!
Hello there, Octavia and thank you for taking the time to comment. Roses are actually pretty easy to grow. Just make sure you give them water once a week like any other plant and fertilize them once a month. If you don’t fertilize them, they will still bloom. The beauty of roses is they will lose their leaves in the winter time and start over fresh and spring. Honestly, they’re just so easy to grow. Just keep them watered and they will be happy. Oh yeah, and make sure they are planted in full sun. They definitely need full sun otherwise they will stretch and reach and become very leggy. I hope that helps Octavia and thanks again for stopping by.🌹🌹🌹Liz
@@GardenHappy That's it? Seems like roses are tricky little beauties. I have red roses and seems like they bloom for a few days and then die off, so I wind up cutting them off. Is this the way it suppose to go? These roses are a few months old, not quite a year yet so the roses are fairly young. Can you tell me what fertilizer to use please? Thanks so much for responding. I will use your tips! Is there a special rose fertilizer that I need to buy?
Because your rose is still young it’ll take another year before they start blooming better. However the flowers should last severL days… not just a couple. Do you know if your rose is a hybrid tea? A florribunda? I guess it depends on what kind of rose it is. Some of the single pedaled roses may not hold their blooms as long. in my opinion, the best fertilizer you can give them is called “Rose Tone” by Espoma! It’s what all the popular Garden channels use that’s how I learned about it and I absolutely love it. I fertilize my flowers about once a week and I fertilize my roses about once every couple of weeks. Your Rose will love it!
@@GardenHappy The roses are much better now. At first, couldn't figure out why I was only seeing them bloom and then a few days fizzle. I wasn't feeding them. Learning by trial and error. Now I am feeing them and they are blooming lovely and lasting too. I have three plant trees that are blooming so nice, bright and has lasted for three weeks now. Love it. Now I can appreciate roses. They can be a bit tricky if you don't give it that TLC.
Yay!!! I’m so happy your roses are finally performing for you. For sure it’s always a learning experience in the garden. But that’s how we learn and I’m glad your roses are doing well. Thanks for keeping me updated on the progress.👍👍👍Liz
Wow.i would buy the same too if i find it in my store. I tried buying that online but heirloom roses dont ship in canada.😢 ive been wanting to have that rose sooo badly when i see that from janey 2years ago.but i will keep my eyes open in our store here.❤❤❤thanks for sharing liz.
Yes, Faye that is exactly when I started falling in love with the rose when I saw it on Jayne’s Dig Plant Water Repeat site as well. I hope Canada will sell them in their garden centers for you. This is the first time I have seen them at Home Depot so there is hope now for you as well. Happy new year my friend and thanks for stopping by.
I bought last year in Canadian tire small rose only 4" pot for 12 $. Was not healthy. Will see if survive this winter , I covered by burlap. I checked anywhere too. Shipping from USA - 45 $
Did you buy Eden or Pretty in Pink Eden? They are quite different and the picture you showed seems more like a "Pretty in Pink Eden" One is much pinker than the other. I have both and they are beautiful. There is even a white Eden. I have been growing mine for years that I purchased from my local Garden Nursery for about the same cost you paid. I am sure they are much more now. Enjoy!
That's a good question Kater8730. . . the label did not mention "Pretty in Pink". . . just "Eden". . . but now that you mention it I agree the roses I got do look more on the pinker side. Oh well. . . hahaha I guess I will find out when they bloom right?! Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate you taking the time to comment! Liz
Nice find at HomeDepot. Your garden is going to be so nice when it comes in. I'm jealous of your dirt. You know you may be a rose nut when you're jealous of someone else's dirt. I need help.
Oh my goodness you are so funny. Jealous of my dirt. I totally love it. I admit I have been blessed with amazing dirt in my area. I appreciate you taking the time to watch my video and making me smile. I hope you have a beautiful day.👍❤️🥰Liz
Great info! Can you suggest where to find the bench and little stepping stones in front? Thank you! Also, how long until the roses get how they look at the pics in the end?
Good morning, and thank you for taking the time to visit me. I bought the little bench at a local nursery in my town. It’s called Morris nursery in Riverbank California. I picked up the steppingstones at Home Depot last year. I think it will take a couple years for my rows to reach the height and shape that I want. However, right now there are little buds on it, so I know it is going to bloom. I will make a rose update video very soon because another person is asking for information about it as well and she suggested I do an update, so I think that’s a great idea. But in answer to your question I think it will take a couple seasons for that rose to reach the top of the arbor, since I will be bending it sideways, back-and-forth to get the look on after. I hope that helps. I’m not always good with words.Haha 👍❤️🥰Liz
Hello Maria, and thank you for taking the time to write to me. I bought my trellis at a nursery in Riverbank California called Morris nursery. Surprisingly it wasn’t too expensive. Hope you’re having a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by..
Hi Becky, perhaps Home Depot doesn’t sell that many roses because of your area. I’m not sure how roses grow in Florida but maybe that has something to do with it. Thank you for taking the time to visit me. I appreciate your comment.👍🥰❤️Liz
I love your garden. It always makes me think of "My Secret Garden" and what the miracle of love can do. (That was one of my Mother's favorite books but then it was also turned into a movie. More than one, I believe.) Anyway, I know you have wonderful plans for the year! :)
Happy new year, Karen and thank you for taking the time to share that information. I think I have heard of that book but I have never read it now I am intrigued. I always appreciate your kind words and inspiration. Thanks again for stopping by my friend.❤️👍🥰Liz
Hello Lorraineyanez I am sorry you were not able to find the Eden Rose at Home Depot. Truth is they only had a few of them and sold out VERY quick! Hope you have a nice weekend! Liz
Hello there and happy Easter. I bought that trellis at a local nursery. It came already rusted. They come in three different sizes. Mine is the medium size. Morris Nursery in Riverbank CA but I see that same trellis being sold at our nurseries, so I’m sure the person who makes it makes their way to all the local garden centers.. thank you for taking the time to watch my videos. I appreciate your comment.👍❤️🥰Liz
Hi Liz,Just planted a climbing rose two days ago but not side ways,i planted them in front of my hose but looking forward to the street,Can i still shift them to there side??
Oh, how fun what color climbing rose did you plant? And yes, you can train them to do anything you want at any time it’s never too late. You could always prune back the canes (usually we bring back the canes very far this time of year anyway) and start training the new canes as they regrow in spring! i’m definitely no expert, but I did some research on the Heirloom Eden climbing rose website. You might want to watch their videos as well. They are very helpful. 🌸🌸🌸 Liz
Hi Liz thanks for your response. WELL I DID SHIFT THEM SO THEY COULD BE ON THERE SIDE.BUT YESTERDAY I PLANTED TWO MORE CLIMBING ROSES 10 FEET APART RITE NEXT TO A BIG WINDOW, BUT NOW IM NOT TO SURE IF THATS TOO FAR AWAY FROM EACH OTHER.? PLZ HELP IS 10 FT APART TOO FAR??
Awww i’m so sorry you cannot find the rose. This time of year is not always the best time to buy new roses. Beginning of spring is usually better. But if you don’t mind spending the money, you could go to the “heirloom Rose” website that’s one of the best places where they sell them and that’s what they are known for. 👍❤️🥰Liz

@@GardenHappy yes.im hoping to find one this year.i will nees two of it as well.thanks liz
I hope you find it and I hope have a wonderful week. Hug and kiss little Gracie for me! 🥰🥰🥰Liz
@@GardenHappy thanks liz.
You have inspired me to plant climbing Eden roses. I like your trellis arch. Where did you buy it from?
Hello Maria, and thank you for taking the time to write to me. I bought my trellis at a nursery in Riverbank California called Morris nursery. Surprisingly it wasn’t too expensive. Hope you’re having a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by..
My Home Depot does not carry many roses only a few and mostly drifts and knockouts ☹️ I live in south Florida
@@GardenHappyThank you and oops, it was" The" secret garden, not "My". Anyhow, cut little story I've always loved it too.
I bought several roses at my Home Depot, but i didn't see that specific variety of Rose😢.
Hello Lorraineyanez I am sorry you were not able to find the Eden Rose at Home Depot. Truth is they only had a few of them and sold out VERY quick! Hope you have a nice weekend! Liz
Your arched trellis, did you make it or buy it like that?
I have too roses garden 💚😊💚💚💚🧚♂️❤❤❤
Oh yay!!! How fun!!! Roses are so beautiful. I’m happy you have two rose gardens.❤️🌸❤️🌸❤️🌸Liz
I can’t find this kind of roses anywhere! Which is a bummer 😢
👍❤️🥰Liz
I’m a late starter. I found information on the Eden rose too late. I need to do better next year.
It’s ok my friend…. You will be ready and have a head start next spring! 🌸🌸🌸
