Myself playing drums for the last 22yrs, being well past my 10k hrs mark, primarily playing deathmetal.
The push pull technique is extremely important for getting the most out of your endurance with blast beats. So for any drummers wanting fast hands, learn to love push/pull
All in all though, I agree with everything that he was saying.

Nice video! I do have one question though. When playing push pull or finger technique, are you involving the index finger in playing the stroke, or is it just holding the stick with the thumb and only the back fingers do the work? I appreciate you taking the time for me.
Well im just learning it on mywelf then i learn to do drumd all i do is listen to musics and find the sound of it in the drums or for ex im remixing a song then ill find that sound in drum version

Hey Matt! We have incredible beginner courses on DBO Academy that I think would be perfect for you! We have a course called “Become A Drummer in 30 Days” the teaches you everything from holding your sticks and setting up your kit properly, to playing beats, fills, and your very first song!
And I’d recommend a Pearl Roadshow or Pearl Export to start with!
