Somehow I knew that no ball will be dinked here...

Great tips, but would be better to support the points and drills with real pickleball action. This is a video, not a podcast. Thanks.

One thing I haven’t heard explained is that you can step in the kitchen before the ball bounces in the kitchen. If I’m incorrect, please let me know! But so far, I’ve not heard this explained anywhere. I.e., if the opponent’s shot’s trajectory is heading for your kitchen, go ahead and step in prior to the ball bouncing if that would facilitate a good return.

You can only step in the kitchen if the ball bounces in the kitchen. As soon as you hit it you must step out of the kitchen...

You can stand in the Non-Volley Zone AT ANY TIME, AND ALL OF THE TIME, IF YOU WANT!!! HOWEVER, you CAN NOT Volley in the Non-Volley Zone. THAT, is the MOST Basic Definition of how and when you can be in the Non-Volley Zone. There ARE Guidelines regarding the forward momentum of your body after hitting Volleys that would be Non-Volley Zone Violations. Also, you can NOT originate a Volley from standing in the Non-Volley Zone, without having established two feet outside of the Non-Volley Zone before hitting the Volley... Hit me up if you have more questions...

Pickleball has the most unusual training videos every video I’ve chosen to watch is all talk and NO examples!! They never show their advice in action.

Why wouldn't you use a partner and show the viewers what you're describing? Pro tip...don't take this guy's advice as gospel.

I don't recommend taking any advice without consideration, however if people want pro tips, hopefully they're bright enough to listen to the pro (the number one singles player in the world) rather than some random dude with a keyboard and a bad attitude.

Posture, grip, footwork and shoulder movement, not wrist rolling are great building blocks, partners should pay attention.

Love it, but please call the nvz the nvz instead of the slang term kitchen. Great video and love watching you Tyson!

But slang is fun! That's not an incorrect term is it? It's like calling the "key" the "paint" in basketball. It works just fine IMO.

@@FriskyBearGaming It is better than calling a paddle a racquet!

@@FriskyBearGaming One can not find the reference of the Kitchen in the USAPA rule book, but one can find NVZ short for Non-Volley Zone.
