Excellent video 👍 I prefer rear engine, rear wheel drive as I have found that layout to have more traction when starting off on very steep and often wet roads where I live.
The Citroen SM tried to offset the weight issue of front wheel drive by placing the engine behind the transaxle and the hydraulics pump over the transaxle and keep the weight centered over the front axles.
The viper isnt even mid-engined... Unless your talking about a front-mid engine setup, which isnt that rare at all. Ok yes hes talking about front mid engine
Rear engine. - less insulation, since the car move forward away from heat. Light weight = efficient fuel. - just as easy to mantain compared to front engine. - rear wheel drive have opportunity to swap the whole thing : engine(incl trans) + differential + rear axle(incl tyre). With lending engine, it's not necessary to not use the car. - safer because the whole front, act as shock absorber -> front bumper. VW = people vehicle. Self explanatory name. It's intended to be use by people because it's save, cheap, reliable, easy to maintain, etc. Disadvantage: - baggage space - few brand
Friends just a quick question,it can even be stupid...Are Pagani Huayra,Bugatti Tourbillon & Koenigsegg Agera R rear engined cars(Their engines located behind the rear wheels...)?
Front wheel drive (FWD) and rear wheel drive (RWD) are terms that describe which wheels the engine power goes to. FWD is easier to drive, but is almost impossible to control if your car slips. RWD is harder for newbies, but in the hands of an experienced driver, it will shine. It also allows for very beautiful drifts
7:52 Oh I miss my Spoon! The Honda S2000 was such an awesome car.
Dude, the S2000 had a front engine.
Bros voices got to him 😭😭
I've actually seen rear engine cars with front wheel drive. Its not very common but such thing does exist
They're called forklifts.
Such as the fiat 600D
I love font engine cars, thank you for your dedication to automobile engineering, and i just love that musical tune playing in the background 😁

I like rear engine layout ❤
❤
Mid engine is better in every way
Dodge Viper has a mid-engine setup but the engine is placed in the front of passenger seats. These are rare

Ok yes hes talking about front mid engine
@@MrBananaPeacelol what? That's exactly what mid engined is
@@johnnyj3498 mid engine means that the engine is between the axles. He said in front of the passanger seats which is a weird way to say it
Mid engine is best for sports cars, because of handling, perfect weight distribution and stuff

I love front placemend ❤❤❤
Please 🙏🙏 post more videos adout car engineering
Hey bro i want to know about the names of all books to become a professional automobile engineer.
What about the Toyota Hi-Ace commuter flat nose
Friends just a quick question,it can even be stupid...Are Pagani Huayra,Bugatti Tourbillon & Koenigsegg Agera R rear engined cars(Their engines located behind the rear wheels...)?
Mid is the best. I miss my MR2
Mid engine means Middle it can be towards the front or rear of the car
I think all typee are good 👍
Anyone tell me the difference between a front engine fwd car and a front mid engine rwd car? Just curious
Front mid is slightly further back than front.

Edit: this whole video feels too weird for a verified channel
The electric hummer is 9,000lbs+ you realize thats a lot of tire shred with out the enjoyment of it
Most people prefer front engine, me too. Front engine is more practical, more appealing.
EV behaves like a midship engine car.
They typically have 50/50 weight distribution, like a front engine rear wheel drive car
Yes but heavier for now
Ou coulda went for anythin else but that Ferrari C8, coulda picked the corvair or the 1970s GT-40
