i like the way when chitty not just saving the family but when she turned into a hovercraft and the wheels tilted sideways plus the small propeller came out the back and even when they moved of the tilted wheels were still moving
I never watched this movie but I saw a Theatrical Play of this movie in a Drama Theatre when I was a kid. In the Play, the Family made Chitty fly across the English Channel until it got late as the Family slept in the Water with Chitty drifting about, only to be woken up by an explosion that came from a Royal Navy Warship pursuing their arrest of an Unidentified Flying Object. I couldn't find anything similar other than this scene that involved Chitty and the Family being chased by a Warship (in this scene, it seems as though it's an old luxury steamboat with a bunch of enthusiasts wanting to obtain the Flying Car). It's actually interesting that adaptions and reiterations change certain things either to suit budget or as a personal touch (in the Drama Play, the pursuing Warship was portrayed by an outline of a Battleship that made the noise of a ship's horn to tell the audience that the ship is gaining on them)
The characters in this movie are nuts, seriously insane and this movie is way bizarre. Watched it too much as a child and now seeing some of it again the serious issues and flaws with this movie are evident.
so, this begs the question be asked... Was Chitty alive in some way. Did the inventor save her life, and was she only simply repaying the favors ? Can a machine inherited the personalities of good people and retain that qualities ?
I think in the actual movie, Potts says that Chitty is in control while flying to Vulgaria. But further play adaptations treat Chitty like a sentient being, similar to the Disney Herby movies.
For a while I thought that from this part in the movie until they get back from Vulgaria was fantasy (with the car floating and flying etc), but at the end of the movie the car goes up in the air again. So it’s hard to tell whether it really happened or was all just fantasy.
I feel making that part a ‘fantasy’ was unnecessary. The movie already felt like a fantasy film, so all the Vulgaria part should have been part of the actual story.
From this point in the movie until they leave Vulgaria, it’s debatable as to whether it really happened or whether it was all just an illusional fantasy.
I made a comment 6 days ago saying that from this point in the movie onwards until they leave Vulgaria that it’s debatable as to whether it really happened or whether it was just an illusional fantasy. What do you think?
Earlier when Caractacus was "tinkering" with Chitty, he was actually installing the inflatable hovercraft.
This has probably become the best pirate chase ever!!! 🍿 🎥

The ultimate expression of anthropomorphism.
Chitty saved them just in time when they about to hit the Sea.
I never knew the Baron is Goldfinger
and Q is the owner of the junkyard! Ian Fleming wrote the book and the movie was produced by the same folks who did the Bond films.
@@ggeer oh yeah he is I never realised that
“Do you expect me to talk?”
“No! I vont the car! I vont the car!”
0:39 Bang!
I still like the fact they hired Roman Polanski’s doppelgänger as the kid diddler creep.
Who?
@@lunalgaleo1991 He probably means that creepy "child catcher" character that was in other parts of the movie.
GREAT
I’m working on an chitty model in roblox, accurate to the real thing.
Edit: the model is finished and i’ll reveal it in one of my future videos
0:39 just as they were about to exit
Chitty chitty had other ideas he then gave a bang of the exhaust and turned into a boat
If you think about it he did use parts of a boat to fix up the car

I like how many plays treat it all as the same story, instead of the Vulgaria part being just made up.
The characters in this movie are nuts, seriously insane and this movie is way bizarre. Watched it too much as a child and now seeing some of it again the serious issues and flaws with this movie are evident.
that's because everything from this point onward is a fairytale told by Caractacus though?
@@RB-747 not the ending of the film that still breaks my brain
@@TheCatWhoGames2311That's the whole point.

I was wondering what happened to the picnic basket when chitty chitty bang bang turned into a Hovercraft and later when chitty gets airborne.
That should have been the plot for part 2.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang: The Basket Basket’s Revenge Revenge
3:33 look how chitty car goes back to normal again before they arrived at the shore

Magic car turns into a hovercraft and gets attacked by King Goldfinger.
3:24 "i want herpes"
XD
This time around, Gert Fröbe didn't need to be dubbed over (if I'm not mistaken).
I thought he was dubbed over by the same voice they used for Goldfinger?
Get out!
Lol lol

In the movie It’s just a fantasy, which cheapens it abit.
Further plays treat it all as actually happening.
I love chatty chatty bang bang ALl The villains to belong to me
Anyone ever wondered how mad it is they are being chased with cannons etc and they are laughing and smiling during the process XD
