    I used to have all kinds of boots like this as kid in the 90s. I haven't seen anything like them since the 2000s. I had a pair of Timberland boots bought for me in 2010, and they've been the only boots I've owned since.

      I said “it works the same”. As in two different ways of achieving the same end goal, tying the boots.
      I can tie my boots faster with a regular knot and it works exactly the same.

    I will need to try that. Unless I do a double-knot, my left boot always gets untied before the right one. That's really odd.

      @@BuckinBillyRaySmith I always put the ends that you pull to untie them back in the loop, no way to come untied then without taking them back out of the loop.

      Try making your regular knot, then lay the bows arthe top of your boots, then fold the top of your socks over the top of the boot and the laces. Your laces won't come undone and they'll stay clean.

      It’s quite ingenious in the fact that there’s no loops to get snagged and if a large limb or dare I say tree falls on his foot, a quick pull of the boot lace gets em off.

    When I mink oil my boots, I always do the laces, makes them grip themselves like crazy. Dried out laces are more prone to loosening. I’ll definitely be tryin this, Buckin’! Happy days to you man

    When I was working in the woods 30 years ago, I learned from a Viet Nam vet to tie my boots in a square knot and tuck the ends down into the boots. Stays tied and easy to get the knot out.😉👍
