i was like you once. i get PNW boots now. i can absolutely request customization. is it expensive? at first. but in the long run, i spend less on boots than anyone who buys ariat or red wing
I used to have all kinds of boots like this as kid in the 90s. I haven't seen anything like them since the 2000s. I had a pair of Timberland boots bought for me in 2010, and they've been the only boots I've owned since.
@@SM_zzz I… didn’t… say… it was… “exactly the same”. I said “it works the same”. As in two different ways of achieving the same end goal, tying the boots. I can tie my boots faster with a regular knot and it works exactly the same.

It’s quite ingenious in the fact that there’s no loops to get snagged and if a large limb or dare I say tree falls on his foot, a quick pull of the boot lace gets em off.
I'm 42 and have worn workboots for 25 years. This is news to me. And I know tree climbing knots and was a boy scout. Old dawg new trick!!!? Wow. Thanks pal
I work behind a desk in an air conditioned office but after watching this it makes me wanna go out and buy a pair of jungle boots so i can use my newly found knowledge.
When I mink oil my boots, I always do the laces, makes them grip themselves like crazy. Dried out laces are more prone to loosening. I’ll definitely be tryin this, Buckin’! Happy days to you man
When I was working in the woods 30 years ago, I learned from a Viet Nam vet to tie my boots in a square knot and tuck the ends down into the boots. Stays tied and easy to get the knot out.😉👍
You just changed my entire life for the better. When I get home after a hard 16 hour shift and I just want to climb into bed those boots never come untied fast enough.

People used to make fun of me for teaching adults how to tie their shoes. This made my day!
