After our Silfra snorkeling adventure, we were might hungry! Luckily there was a vegetarian friendly tomato soup buffet on our way through the Golden Circle!! The Fridheimar buffet is quite pricey (as are most restaurants in Iceland) but it was a fun stopover.

**Correction: The greenhouse literally grows more than "literally just tomatoes" :D They also have cucumbers -- though we didn't see any of those.

This is the most interesting dining place I've seen so far! How did you find out about it?
My friend was there a few month before and told me about it. Also, it was pretty much the only vegetarian friendly restaurant (that I know of) between Silfras snorkeling and the geyser we were going to. We were so hungry!
I wanted to have some soup just as I watched you putting some in your plate.
If you're going to be there one time in your life, and you have a great experience, why should a relatively small amount of money be a problem?

I am headed there at the end of the year and I am dreading the cost for food lol. Are grocery store prices reasonable?
Groceries are totally reasonable, especially if you go to Bonus. The problem was that our schedule was so jam packed that we didn't have time to stop anywhere until a few days in. We were on the move from 7am - 11pm every day nonstop :/
Damn that is nutty. Fast travel wears me out so bad after about a month. Where are you based out of?
