  • Last year we stayed at the historic Wigwam Motel No. 2 in Cave City, Kentucky! You could say this is our "lost episode" because we never edited it until a year later! We cut down this video from over an hour of footage to just something easier to watch...
    Thanks for watching!

Amazing they are still around. Glad they're getting restored.

I first saw Wigwam Village when I was about 7 years old. When my daughters were young we took them there 3 times. I became obsessed with the Karst systems there and read books. On our second trip there I realized the playground is in a sinkhole that leads to Mammoth Cave.

We were so lucky to be able to stay in such a cool historic place- so glad we could share it with all of you! Please remember to give a "thumbs up" and share our videos with others who'll enjoy them- it really helps out our channel! Have you been to any unique motels?

....wow that was super .. !.. old hotels dont have showers tough in my experiance .. tub only ..ive been in so dooseys and they are alll buldozed over today .. ive never spent that much for a room either and cant rest very well traveling .. when the room is funsished with stuff that looks like it belongs at a yard sale you know in a old hoel. My favorite one was in Flagstaff I think it was $28 a nite on RT66 and now its a new cracker barrel .. The Ruth Hotel in Loxly AL was right up there with my favorite it was a 2 room hotel in the upstairs of a converted house .. I would park my semi right on main street .. my rule was nothing over $50 ..Ha Ha ..!

@@_Boregard_Rippy_ we would be heartbroken if they ever bulldozed over this one, that's for sure. Also, $28 a night?? That's fantastic!

It really was almost surreal staying there- there is a LOT of video of us wandering around staring at the same stuff over and over because we were basically in awe... 😅 thanks so much for such a nice comment, I'm so glad you liked it!!

I hope you stay in touch with the owner. Maybe you can return when the restoration is complete.

He was a great guy. Very knowledgeable. There have been a few other channels who have gone there this year and you can see some of the progress he has made. Definitely want to return one day. Thanks Mark!
