Why isn’t anybody commenting on why award show performances aren’t this amazing. Am not saying that awards show performance are bad. I just wish that the performance are just as good as they are here so the idols would be able to react like they react here.
in award show sometimes idols don't have enough time to prepare, they have tours more than one award show who are close to each other in time, and company also play a role if they will support the performance fanatically, it does not happens always, but since this is competition they are given enough time to prepare with their company full support
end year awards focuses too much on "famous groups". they dont even give equal chances to small groups to perform lol last year at gayo bts got 21 min of performance alone while others get less than 4 minutes

The only performance I can think of being at the same level as the one The Boyz did in MAMA 2020 is Exo Transformer Performance in MAMA. I mean I give credits to the choreographer and all. BUT in order to have the performance done well you have to have the right song, the right artists and the right stage to accomplish. 그룹에 멤버가 많은 건 득이 되기도 하고 해가 되기도 하는데 여긴 확실히 멤버 수 활용을 잘 하는 듯... 저기서 두명이 깃발? 장대 같은 거 타고 나머지만 군무하고 있는데도 전혀 무대가 비어보이지 않음 다른 부분들에도 다수를 활용한 예쁜 안무들이 엄청 많음... 분명히 수가 많으면 없어도 될 것 같은 멤버들이 보이기 마련인데 그런 멤버들이 한명도 보이지 않는다는 건 더보이즈의 큰 장점인듯

The concept behind this and literally everything is amazing... I am honestly speechless at this point. Everyone... STAN The Boyz. They deserve A LOT...
Best parts: + Q fights with fraud king's soldiers + Them being mythologic painting + Sangyeon escapes from his chains + New visits us from the heaven + Eric free-falls to the back + Sunwoo spits fires + Q/Kevin and Jacob/Haknyeon perfect prechorus pairings + THE PART WHERE THE FLAGS COLLIDE, OH MY GOD THEY REALLY TOOK ME TO THE SKY AND SHOWED ME ALL THE STARS WITH THAT ONE + Orchestral bridge + Jujae catches and "consumes" fire + Perfect group dance and last chorus + Juyeon takes down the king + The end. Overall, this is the best stage of 2020 so far and will probably stay like that (unless The Boyz outdo themselves again).
What makes them different is even tho they won, they're not ""it's OK we can be low-key bc we already won, for sure we'll win again"" but they know every time they have to try harder. What makes them different is that they have consistency.

내가 킹덤보면서 느낀 단 한가지는 그룹들이 쏟아지듯이 나오는 이 케이팝 시장에서 내가 킹덤을 보기전 그래도 이름정도만 알고 있었던 이 그룹들이 알고보니 정말 상당한 실력자들이었다는 것이다. 이 정도 실력은 갖추고 데뷔해야 수면위로 떠 이름 정도 알릴 수 있다는 지금 케이팝 시장의 현실에 감탄을 금치못하는 동시에 씁쓸하기도 하다. 로드 투 킹덤 시작전에 퀸덤2나 하지 실력이 안되니까 많이 못뜬거겠지 라며 단언해버렸던 내가 너무 편협했던것 같다. 더보이즈를 포함한 다른 모든 그룹들 모두가 킹덤으로 가는 황금길만 걸었으면 하는 바람이다. 로드 두 킹덤 응원한다
