    I have a older xps dell pc, and it works very well, it runs all the games I throw at it like a dream, Battlefield 2, Ark survival evolved, fortnite, Minecraft(with mods), you name it! And also on high settings too.
    Also another thing, the dell keyboard and mouse are REALLY nice and are good for both gaming and work, i first started using the mouse when my other nonwired one died, and after that I fell in love

    I would *HIGHLY* advise against buying a Dell prebuilt for gaming or productivity. I've had a few Dell "gaming PCs" in the past and almost everything inside is built around being anti upgradable. I'm talking weird non standard sata ports, removed fan headers, and crippled motherboards. Save yourself the headache and buy something else.

      Eh, I used to think that way too. But to be honest, by the time I'm ready to upgrade, the socket's changed so my mobo is out, my cooler isn't compatible with the new socket, RAM has changed, about the only things I could keep would be the case, the power supply and the SSDs. And by that time, I'm usually wanting a new case and want the reliability of a new power supply since they're cheap anyway. Heck, I got my old i5-2500k/GTX 560 ti system on a shelf behind me. I stole the SSD and left the rest lol.

    Ive had mine for almost 3 years now. I payed 1200 plus tax at Micro Centre during the Pandemic. GPUs were hard to get and EXPENSIVE. But the GPUs inside PCs werent overpriced, weird LOL. So I bought this XPS 8940. Mine came with i7 10700, 16gb DDR5, STOCK SMALL cooler. 500w PSU, 1tb SSD and a GTX 1660 SUPER. I added the stock tower cooler it was supposed to come with (ordered it on ebay or amazon), I added heatsinks to the vrams, added 16gb more DDR5, exact same sticks it came with to match the kit, totaling 32gb. I added an intake fan at the front. I swapped out the 1660 for an RTX 3060 12 gb. BEAST

    I have an XPS i7 10700K w/16GB dual channel and a 3060ti. Paid about $1,350.00 and I'm satisfied after replacing the exhaust fan and adding an intake (total of like $27.00). With the "K" CPUs you get a much beefier cooler and heatsinks on the VRM. I agree though, the "F" processors cooler is a joke. Normally I build my rigs, but didn't want to deal with the GPU shenanigans at the time.

    $1599 is a terrible value for a Dell. Even the worst of system integrators are a much better buy than a Dell. Good luck fixing that cooling issue on these Dell XPS systems. Besides a completely useless cpu cooler the airflow in these cases is terrible. You mentioned "front ventilation", very little air is being drawn through that at all. Proprietary PSU cables and motherboard power connections and form factors and power supplies... it's a mess! About the only thing nice was the EVGA 3060 card.

    Dell makes their PC's for creators not gamers. I really like the Dell XPS prebuilt because it comes with a CD/DVD drive. The new ones don't but they do include an external solution which is perfectly fine for me. Even the lowest end configuration with an i5-13400 and a GTX 1650 Super are totally fine for gaming and they are good for rendering blender animations and adobe software stuff. I think they are a bit lower on the performance side because of how Dell does the aircooling for the CPU but there is a watercooling option which I am using.

    Dell is a joke. They made this to be a workstation PC but they give you the crappiest CPU cooler and the VRM's have no heatsink on them. Just being a workstation means that the PC will be kept on more than a regular PC and it needs all the cooling it can get, I mean look at those CPU temps over 85 degrees Celsius, that's not ok. If they make these cases to have a front fan to push air inside it would be even better. Their desing team must be high not listening to the feedback they're getting.

      These guys often seem to be a little biased in their reviews, Microcenter sent it to them so they were paid im assuming. If a video about a specific pc isn't titled as a review that mostly means they've been sponsored in some sort of way so its not going to be 100% honest.

    • @yhiz4757
      @yhiz4757 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Leumens yeah it's honestly shit that companies like Dell take advantage of the fact that unexperienced people watch these people and fully trust them. It's also incredibly fucking sad that Dell can't even afford to put the normal stock cooler inside of their prebuilds. I honestly clicked this video expecting a biased review because no one reviews fell pc's positively nowadays.
