Your delivery on that dropbox promo was excellent.. You showed me something new without the feeling of me being spammed by a promo (like most youtubers, they just spam you and you feel it)
I appreciate the work you put into these and the approach. it's clear you are thinking about the viewers experience.
I'm starting to get hooked on them now and need to set up a Notion watchlist database of all your videos where i will set a status on each one & take notes along the way ;)

Great to hear! Thanks for the feedback - always a tricky balance to be obvious it’s a partnership, but to also actually offer value around it. I’ve used Dropbox for years now to manage my channel with remote editors and love it. :) thanks for watching!

Simon, your vid topics always come at the perfect time! I’m gutted I can’t use Notion at work but excited to see how Loop can plug the gap for those stuck in a single echo system!

I'm currently trying to build a simple yet beautiful Second Brain Notion system to capture everything in my life, but I'm not very creative so I'm not sure where to start building

I tried notion on and off for years until I finally put the time in and built my own dashboard and now I can’t live without it 😂

I am at the same stage. Today I am getting an iPad and diving into fully digitally living. Wish me luck 😂

I know! I have tried so hard to make a good Notion page, yet I just cannot finish it and actually use it in my day to day life!!!

The best way is to build your own if you have the time! Great work. :)

Checkout my Notion From Scratch Series playlist on the channel- it’s a step by step guide to do just that ! Hope that helps you get going, and if you like it - you can always also grab one of my templates and adapt it from there if you want more functions :) Good luck!

Also excited for Loop's potential. My day job uses MS 365 Business. And it will easily slot in the work flow. Notion wasn't allowed because of security policies.

totally - this could develop into big news for people locked out of Notion in their workplaces... excited to be creating content on this stuff over the next months. :)

Simon, I fell in love with your channel two years ago and have religiously been watching every video as well as BUYING both of your second brain offerings. Being an avid viewer, I feel compelled to give you some constructive criticism. We Americans are a sucker for a proper Brit accent and you have a brilliant one. However.... (you knew this was coming)... in the last year or so, you've begun to sound like a pitch man rather than a user advocate. I realize it is most likely difficult to integrate paid sponsorships and make them sound like a recommendation rather than a compulsory blurb in your video. Keep in mind, though, your avid viewers are well aware of the paid sponsorships and seriously know the difference. I have to admit it's really started to turn me off. :( The sponsorship nods get longer and longer and they're usually about products that everyone already knows about. I don't want to abandon your channel so I figured, to be fair, I should express my thoughts to give you food for thought and hopefully, have you get some retrospective insight of then vs now to see where I'm coming from.

Hi hi, ah thank you so much for the feedback. And very sorry to hear you feel this way. Yeah - it’s such a balance to strike. I guess I’ve always gone on the basis that I will only take sponsorships from something I already use and want recommend, or have tried and genuinely feel is worthwhile. Otherwise, I’ll test something and report back. I’ll definitely take this to heart and look to shorten and clarify the sponsorships a little more. What do you think would help? Make them more clearly separate, so them differently, don’t do them at all? It’s tricky as the sponsorships allow me to pay editors to work with me and I want to keep doing that. thanks for following the channel so long and for writing me like this rather than running off! I was wondering if maybe I should use my teleprompter less too - but writing what I wanna say in a video and reading and adding to it really saves me hours a week and means I can keep this up without burnout! Haha. Cheers. :)

@@BetterCreating I'm really glad you took what I had to say so well. Sometimes hearing (reading) icky stuff doesn't always go down well. So you asked me what I think and given what you said, here goes. DEFINITELY do the sponsorships! I think it's the transition into them that's where the challenge lies. And now that you say you use a teleprompter, that might be the problem... be more of a fanboy. :) NO ONE wants you to burn out... at all... you're too valuable to the productivity geeks out here!!! :)

Thanks so much@@LiveByDesignNotByDefault - yeah interesting - so we think be more of a fab boy and be authentically excited about the things I back? Is that what you mean - perhaps the intros feel to scripted and I can actually be clearer that I'm taking a moment to share a sponsorship I'm excited about? :) cheers! I.e. more direct and transparent?
