My middle name is Camp. My Grandfather’s middle is Camp. My family settled in Winston Co. MS. In 1850 (not far from Tupelo). My Grandfather was born in 1910 in Winston Co. it’s my understanding the Doctor that delivered my Grandfather was DR. Camp. Also a close friend to my Great Grandfather. It’s highly likely my name sake is from Ms Camp’s family. Funny story my grandmother told me. In the middle 50’s she was in her 20’s. She saw Elvis at a dance. Her group had went there to hear fiddle music. But before the fiddles played, Elvis played. ( best to my understanding). Because she said she didn’t like Elvis. They just wanted him to finish up so they could dance to the fiddle music. Lol, she told me “ And Hon, let me tell you something, Elvis didn’t have no black hair. He had dishwater blond hair hanging down like a mess in front of his face. And some guy pulled a knife on Elvis because the guy’s girlfriend and Elvis were being too friendly. But it all cool off and Elvis & Co left.” Grandma did however like Elvis gospel music. “ Hon why don’t he just do that, he has a beautiful voice. He didn’t need all that other stuff.” Now y’all be nice about my grandma 😂. She was of her time. Her favorite singer became Conway, and didn’t do all that moving and shaking around. Lol Billy has picked up the mantle of people and things tangible with Elvis. Narrowing the broad strokes of Elvis into detail. I’m glad this signature made it to the right collection. Amazing how all this happened. This is a great series .
Love your story. My grandma never saw Elvis live but she loved to hear him sing Blue Christmas. She would pay me a quarter to sing “ Hound Dog” into my brush like it was a mic. Lol Isn’t it great how Elvis spanned the three generations from our grandma ‘s to us. 😎

Amazing the way this all panned out, from a chance meeting in a cemetery to bringing it full circle to the cemetery where ms. One road leads to another. Nice touch visiting the teachers grave at the end...incredible story you started out looking for Jesse grave - found the person with the book with the sig- found a missing piece of Elvis history - found the right person to own that book - ended up there and ended up with a new story and another brilliant video. It wasn't all planned but it was all meant to be. Your videos go places you don't expect. That book isn't just Elvis signature he would have carried that around as a text book for the whole of the school year I guess. Kinda spooky thinking about that.

I throughly enjoyed this awesome story and important pieces of our Elvis history, from the beginning to the end. I could have listened to more . What an incredible way to meet these two gentlemen from the cemetary and then leading to the other man's home to see the wonderful book he has owned for so many years. Seeing Elvis's first known signature written inside this book. Followed by visiting Mrs. Mary Ann, and hearing her talk about the school teacher, Mrs. Camp. and her sisters and how Elvis fit into all of this. It must have brought back many memories for her. I want to thank everyone involved in making these incredible stories be known to us. Thank you for all the hard work put into this for making it all possible . God bless you always. One road leads to another. Nice touch visiting the teachers grave at the end...incredible story you started out looking for Jesse grave - found the person with the book with the sig- found a missing piece of Elvis history - found the right person to own that book - ended up there and ended up with a new story and another brilliant video. It wasn't all planned but it was all meant to be. Your videos go places you don't expect. That book isn't just Elvis signature he would have carried that around as a text book for the whole of the school year I guess. Kinda spooky thinking about that.
As always a great video. I can hardly wait for the next video to come out. As a life long Elvis fan it really is amazing of all the things you can still find.

I throughly enjoyed this awesome story and important pieces of our Elvis history, from the beginning to the end. I could have listened to more . What an incredible way to meet these two gentlemen from the cemetary and then leading to the other man's home to see the wonderful book he has owned for so many years. Seeing Elvis's first known signature written inside this book. Followed by visiting Mrs. Mary Ann, and hearing her talk about the school teacher, Mrs. Camp. and her sisters and how Elvis fit into all of this. It must have brought back many memories for her. I want to thank everyone involved in making these incredible stories be known to us. Thank you for all the hard work put into this for making it all possible . God bless you always. Especially to Spa Guy. ☺

It didn't go to Graceland it went to Ted's Collection.. I call him the Mayor of Graceland as a Joke..
