I live in abroad, do you know in 2015-2016 I helped pay my cousins SHS school fees; so during that time SHS was not free and since 2017 to present I have not paid or called to help pay SHS fees. We need to truthful and honest as people😊😊

I benefited from it, it was during the time he was building several SHS schools. I went to a very good shs and day students paid somewhere around 100 cedis as fees. It was a progressive thing he was doing

Progressively free took into consideration the funding and infrastructure.

The current NPP administration has failed Ghanaians, with the exception of free SHS, everything In Ghana is going downhill, the cedi is on free fall, unemployment rate has gone up, GDP to debt ratio has gone up drastically,more Ghanaians are crossing the Sahara desert and dying then never before. in politics one can come up a policy to gain political points, however we have to ask ourselves if that policy is sustainable .American the richest country in the world does not put kids in boarding schools and feed them for free, it’s practically not sustainable let them stay home and go to school for free, common sense must be applied in our daily politics,,,
Thanks to the Akufo Addo govt, today I drive a brand new Ghana made VW vehicle! The first brand new car I have bought since I started buying cars in 2001. The history of Ghana will record also that it is Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo who gave Ghana the one true opportunity to rub shoulders with the rest of the developed world and make a go at alleviating/ eradicating poverty, by the universal introduction of free SHS and TVET education which has benefited millions of Ghanaian youths including my two girls. This is the one monumental game changer. By the way, I'm fairly literate, and a city dweller working in an important sector of the economy but the last time I went to a forex bureau was in January, 2009 when the dollar was 1:1. Just think about this!!!
America, the richest country! An important admission!!! America is rich so can afford not to pay boarding fees for their children! Ghana is a developing country and cannot afford letting any of our youths behind! If we understand what education does for a country, then it is imperative to make education completely free! I'm all for a comprehensive, compulsory and absolutely free SHS education, at least for now! We need the manpower! We need a literate society to eradicate poverty! Today secondary school enrollment has increased from 600,000 students in 2016 to 1.4million today! Ghana needs free SHS education like the body needs blood! Just remember before president Nana Addo shs schools were not close proximity of villages communities. So, with wisdom, NPP needs to build schools closer to communities. As we go forward the next government can minimise government expenditure. This is real development/advance in ordinary Ghanaians life. Sad observation!

I agree with you 100%. I have observed Samson most of the time and watched him speak freely and even when he is pushed to speak. I think he has a bias against Mahama. He allowed Miracle to speak for 14.28min and never heckled Miracle one bit but he kept interrupting Sammy and even forgot that he was the host and not the NPP's mouth piece. In my opinion, he will make his show a better one if he stopped this habits.

What's the point of a free policy, such as free shs if your government had to engage in unprecedented borrowing of the previous government by several folds just to fund it?
