100% honest your bit about ‘good luck’ to the commentary channels wanting to become Jambassadors made me giggle a little bit too.
As an aspiring jambassador and almost exclusively commentary creator, I’m excited but keeping my expectations leashed.
I personally don’t think they’d take issue with any of my content considering my specific goal in making it, but if they did I would be just as happy to continue making content as I do now.
I don’t know if I emphasized this enough in my own jambassador video but even if I make the role I will always remain entirely true to myself and my options, not only for my own sake, but to maintain transparency for my audience.
You were a huge inspiration in my content creation career by the way, keep it up! 💜🦦

I think for the most part jambassadors are mostly kind people and AJHQ isn't changing their content as much as people think they do. I personally love a lot of Jambassadors currently, and even wish to become one myself. That's just my opinion though.
Edit: I also suggest everyone went and watched Queenwolf's new jambassador video, as it does clear up a lot of stuff that is super important to know! :D great video Leamon, by the way

Personally, i think the follower/sub count makes sense, and yet at the same time, it doesn't. Most of the people I really want to become a Jambassador, because I think they'd do an awesome job, don't even have CLOSE to the amount of followers required. At the same time though, it does make sense to must be well known in the community so people know who you are and what you stand for

I love the old jambassadors more than the new ones, they're the perfect example of what a jambassador should be.

This video is PERFECT. I was lowkey considering making a video like this, but now I don’t have to. 😂 You covered absolutely everything I would’ve wanted to say. I absolutely agree that choosing 13-year-olds for the role is just… not ideal or responsible. If they want good role models for representing their company, why are they choosing kids who are barely out of middle school?? Last time I checked, most middle schoolers aren’t known 100% for their maturity or responsibility. Not to mention, those kids will get unreasonable backlash from GROWN ADULTS who just can’t seem to let the game go and think Jambassadors have all this power. (Yes, I’m STILL salty that Jambassadors were given backlash for No Drama Llama when that was 100% AJHQ’s fault.)
Anyways, as an Ex-Jambassador myself (formerly known as Ellipsity), I honestly have nothing BUT opinions and criticism for Wildworks’ decisions. I haven’t had a single issue since I stepped down from the role, which just proves that the role is not designed for people who have a lot of criticism against the company or think freely. Take it from me, if you’re someone who makes commentary content, you already don’t NEED the Jambassador role because your content is already going to garner the approval of many people. It’s unfortunately true that commentary content is more popular than creative content, so you already don’t need AJHQ’s stamp of approval if you’re a commentary channel. Nothing would be more disappointing than to see a bold and outspoken channel become a silenced follower of AJHQ just to stay on their good side. Though I think nowadays, AJHQ would be quite stupid to restrict your opinions and speech on the game, so if you want to apply, go right on ahead. I’m a bit biased though because my Jambassador experience involved people EXPECTING me to use my platform to speak out on issues, and I never knew when it was safe to do that because I also didn’t want to ruin my standing with AJHQ. Nowadays, I don’t have to worry about that and it’s a beautiful freedom. I would’ve quit the game permanently if I stayed a Jambassador, but instead I’m just playing it as any casual player/retired creator and the experience is SO much better. 😌 If your content is mostly positive and kid-friendly creative content though, by all means, the role is 100% a good fit for you!

honestly, i would really like to see a animal jam video editor become a jambassador. i am a video editor myself, and have over 6k on tiktok from my appropriate skits and aj/ajc edits. even if i do not become one, i hope one or more of the few animal jam editors in the community will so they can be recognized for their talents just like artists, by possible countless hours of work ❤
Agreed, it should be 16 or 15+, people aren't very mature at that age, and for the Jambassador you can't share opinions, that's just dumb.. I know it's what they want but a lot of people have opinions and it feels just like there just shutting you up, and making you keep things in a bag, and it does really put a negative effect on them, as it feels like they can't say that. And the fact that it's " Drama" ?? I mean it doesn't look like drama, it's just awareness and attention about a person or topic, I love animal jam but I'm sorry, I had to say my opinions

Can’t wait to see how it goes! ❤ I agree with most of the stuff in here, maybe you should be 15-16+ because most 13 and 14 year olds are going to high school which are like some of the most stressful and important years of your life, but then again it gives younger people a opportunity
im ngl, it’s refreshing to know one of my old favorite childhood youtubers is still alive. yk, every once and awhile, i check in on a lot of my old favorite youtubers. and it honestly has me feeling really sad to see “last post: 2 years ago”. does anyone else do the same and feel that way? idk, youtubers like you carried my childhood, and to see almost all of them quit, its hurts me. ik they need to move on, but it just hits different to not get that familiar notification you always waited for.

I applied and even though I dont meet the requirement on my insta, I am just looking for a, opportunity. I start college in August and I dont know, I think the chance to work with a group like this may be helpful in some way. You made fantastic points though that I agree with 100%

Most jambassadors are kind, though I met one who was very toxic, and someone I know wants to be a jambassador just for the fame, which ain’t the point.
Same I want it for my channel to grow but I also just wanna have fun too as because there so many ideas in my head I want to make video for but I don’t have much subscribers (6;-;)

The age shouldn't be 13 though. School should be the primary focus at that age imo. I think the age should be minimum of 16
Jambassadors are meant to be influential and positive all the time, at least AJHQ seems to be pushing that mentality, and I don't think that sort of personality should be forced upon kids, or anyone for that matter.

I’ve always wanted to be a jambassador since the first year I ever played aj, which like many I was young, now that I’m old enough to be one, have been making some kind of status with my art in aj, i have always thought if I would want to be one. The only main issue is supplies, availability and what I have that is able to make good content. Despite all this I struggle keeping my ideas stuck in my head about what makes aj a bad game to play sometimes, and how negative some parts of the community can be so I think it’s just a pick and choose of what you wanna be in aj

I used to be a animal jam creator but the videos ended up bad I also couldn't edit back then. It was always my dream to be a jambassiter (ignore spelling if wrong 0.0) however I never really posted alot I would post around 5 to 6 videos a month all on one go haha
I feel like I could not become a jambassador, I almost never post and my computer is currently not working so I can't do animal jam videos (I'm a classic player) and I just don't want all the pressure, I'll just stick with my non-existent upload schedule lol
I guess another reason why I left AJ is the Jambassadors. I just don't know why, And to be specific, It's the newer ones.
I think the age is not that bad of a choice I know 13 year olds more mature then 18 years old I just think it depends on the person and their skill. A 13 year old could definitely be able to have more skill then a 17 year old.
I agree, I think there should be a minimum of course but in the end they should look at the person's personal maturity level. There are some cringey irresponsible 13yr olds, but also some very mature 13yr olds.

But I don't think it is for being a good artist. Its because at the age of 10-15 are people who still has lot to learn. They have the role to make a good enviroment for the game, and being on that age they can be involved on some kind of drama that they are not prepared or say something bad without wanting to hurt anybody because they are still young to understand but they still has lot to learn

We do have to keep in mind though that in general older jammers are more “mature” or are better at dealing with situations involving drama and such. I’m not saying that all younger kids aren’t good at such things, they definitely can be, but I’m assuming from AJHQ’s perspective it is “safer” to pick older jammers in some ways.
I look back at my 12/13 year old self and cringe honestly. There was a lot of stuff I did when I was that age that I regret now. Not because it was unsafe or even really bad at all, just not something I would do now having somewhat more experience.

leamon they reused the snake model for the new viper and are covering it up by having their jambassadors say stuff like "im so exited to see a snake in the game, it wasnt before" or something
Hello Leamon puppy! I am going to apply to be a jambassador, I think it is a good role for me since I frequently play animal jam all the time, part of the main reason I want to be a jambassador is to spread kindness and postivity, somthing I think jamaa is much need of, I haven’t. Watched the video yet but I do have 1500 followers on tiktok, similar to Verface, I hope I can get this role, it would make my dreams come true, any tips or tips on making engaging videos?
I’ve always wanted to become a jambassador since I was a kid, and I’ve wanted to make a TH-cam channel for over a year now. I doubt my parents would let me do that, sadly.

I personally think that the entire concept of jambassadors is dumb. They are having children promote their game for free (obviously they get benefits, as stated, but it's akin to paying with exposure). They are restricted in what they can do, and cannot even make awareness videos. It becomes incredibly stressful having to make sure that none of your videos or posts will make ajhq mad.
But, that's just my opinion I guess. No hate to any jambassadors or anyone who wants to become one. Maybe it's actually a great experience, I don't know! But the whole just seems *super* sketchy to me.

What software do you use to make videos?
I think a BIG misconception with the role is that AJHQ restricts Jambassadors on what content they can and cannot make, this is true but not to the extent people make it out to be. The most I’ve heard from Jambassadors I’ve spoken to in the past is that they request you don’t upload something that would obviously not be safe for kids to watch, if you catch my drift. This, however, doesn’t include making content sharing awareness on specific topics AJHQ themselves with shy away from. They want you to make the game look good for sure, but they don’t want you to become a lifeless yes man either.
I think this misconception carries onto some Jambassadors themselves, there’s a very clear dynamic between AJHQ and it’s creators and I imagine a lot of them might fear to ask questions and just make content on what they know is 100% safe (which is why you don’t/didn’t see many of the Jambassadors make videos on previous popular controversies)
I had a lot and back and forth if the program or the role was right for what I wanted to do with AJ content creation and AJ itself and I can say it is. I want to work with AJ and the role fits my vision but I used to be on the fence before because of that heavy misconception a lot of people have
Good point, but imagine also always having to ask what content would be safe to make. Take this with a grain of salt, but as an Ex-Jambassador myself, I sure didn’t enjoy always worrying about what content of mine was “appropriate” or not for the role, and ideally without it, I don’t have to ask for anyone’s approval at all.
If they don’t restrict commentary content then that’s great, but it still seems risky to do that in front of a community that eats up drama and expects you to speak out on issues, and then punish you if you don’t deliver. I used the Jambassador role for precisely that and I faced the consequences from the community when they started labeling me “The Realest Jambassador”. That’s not a fun label to carry, because if you screw up or have any opinion that isn’t in alignment with the radical side of the community, you’re finished because people expect way more from you. Nobody needs that intense pressure, we’re all human and we’re going to have our own opinions/screw up from time to time and in a community like this, people aren’t so forgiving with that.
This is why I think it’s better to stay independent if you’re that type of channel, but that’s just me. This is just MY experience, though. If you can handle that intense pressure from the community and AJHQ is cool with you making that kind of content, by all means stick with the goal of becoming a Jambassador. I just thought I’d give some pushback because I’d hate to see anyone follow in my footsteps of using the Jambassador role to speak out on issues if they don’t know what they’re getting themselves into. It can backfire in so many ways. I’m not trying to be a Debbie Downer here or anything, I’m just telling you what I wish someone told me because it was a genuinely stressful experience that I don’t wish upon anyone. I wish you good luck getting the role though if you really want it! 🖤
@@Iv0ri It’s a lack of communication and understanding between the two parties from how I look at it, AJHQ probably sees everything is fine so they wouldn’t approach any of the people in the program but some of the people i the program wouldn’t want to approach AJHQ because of the clear dynamic there - it’s a tricky situation.
Regardless though, they will not restrict actual content unless it’s borderline NSFW or something lol
I’ve heard about your experience and I’m glad you did what was right for yourself and took the necessary precautions for yourself to be in a better mental state after all of it
@@Kek_AJ I’m glad you understand that aspect because I think anyone in their right mind wouldn’t feel comfortable asking AJHQ if they can make an awareness video on something serious in the community. Communication is key, but I still stand on what I said. I don’t want to ask someone constantly if my content is appropriate to post. I like being the boss of my own content, and when I was a Jambassador my content was far different from most other Jambassadors. What was I supposed to think? Nobody ever told me what was or wasn’t accepted, and I didn’t want to run the risk of losing my title (at the time).
Thankfully the community became so unbearably toxic that I resigned without question, and I’ve been happier and mentally healthier ever since. The community expects far too much from Jambassadors and while I fail to understand why anyone wants that pressure, I’m of course supportive of those who really want the role. I just can’t help but give advice to those who are aspiring though, because the last thing I want is to see history repeat itself and see myself in a future Jambassador.
Even if my experience had been positive in some alternate universe, I’m radically against most of Wildworks’ past business decisions and the last thing I’ll do is be caught dead financially supporting them or endorsing the brand in any way. I’m literally on the game now to visit friends, make some content every now and then, and speak out whenever I choose to. (I only ever purchase membership with sapphires because I refuse to give them any real money.) But returning to the brand ambassador position I left? That would be going against everything I stand for. I like to remain consistent with my beliefs and morals. I’m never setting one foot in the Jambassador program again for as long as I’m in this community, but I’ll gladly advise and advocate for future Jambassadors to have an overall better experience. Don’t take this as me advising you against going after the position, it’s just my advice. I shoot straight with my advice sometimes. 😅
I would love to be a Jambassador, but y'know. I have literally 0 video experience, wouldn't be great at being positive all the time- (Clinical severe depression and anxieties) And I'm an old coot to the majority of the "front face" players now a days, lol.
The fact Julian2 was kicked from the program for making a risky video, and now we've had a groomer sympathizor and a groomer both in the program
LEAMON PUPPY! I HAVE A IDEA! Theres some cotton candy tricks such as phantoms and pride flags, you could make a video for it! I know how to make pansexual flag, its (i think any cone but try the all white one), blue, yellow and pink!
I've applied myself even though I don't have the follower count for it. But I have a lot I wanna do in mind in the community and either way I'll still make the content! I wanna make guides on adventures (all of them) as well as the leveling guide for AJ Classic since I've been working on calculating the courage points the best I can! I'm also an artist and I wanna get back into drawing AJ characters again! RN I'm keeping my AJ content separate from my art channel (this one) so my AJ channel will be Lordlongearz!
I'd also love to do gifting to random jammers videos as I have a ton of extra items and I'm currently collecting almost all items in AJC! I also wanna do giveaways and contests too! Another project kind of idea I wanna do is community MEPs! Anyone who loves to edit AJC and AJPW stuff can join no matter what skill level! It'll be a way to show off everyone's work in each MEP :D
Since I recently gotten back into AJ I mainly play AJ Classic but I will eventually play AJPW if I ever have the time!
Another thing I wanna do is Scammer watches but I'm not sure if that kind of content would fit for the role tbh. I can always try and honestly it's more for others to be aware of those ppl and be safe. Gotta make sure we keep the young ones safe y'know?

You actually can state your opinions. Animal Jam has stated that being a Jambassador doesn’t actually affect what you post, so long as it’s kid friendly. However, they do seem to prefer that Jambassadors stay out of issues, but that’s mainly because Animal Jam seemingly prefers to deal with bad jammers themselves. At least I think that’s what I heard
