First important thing to note is that there is no such thing as 'palestine', it's Israel, Judea and Samaria(west bank), Gaza, and Jordan actually. 'Palestinian' is considered a political ethnicity. I just wish to see harmony between the different religious teachings, we are a majority of white Christians, I do not want another religious group taking over this country, but at the same time I understand not everyone is of Christian belief. Funny how once these protests affect the police and they get injured they say they want them banned, but when the public especially the Jewish community have complained about feeling intimidated etc, they don't care. Forgive me but the police caused this situation by being so softly softly with them, and treating the public who complained with contempt, what a bunch of hypocrites, if they didn't have two tier policing and hadn't treated them with kid gloves, then they wouldn't be facing these issues now, they need to own the fact they have enabled this to happen.
The Jewish community afraid? Of what exactly? A Turkish Kebab shop in their area or a Bangladeshi grocery shop? Their fears are irrational and greatly exaggerated.

@@mickieg1994 I believe in freedom of speech, but with that comes responsibility. If the protest organisers won't take responsibility for what is happening at those protests and it is having a negative impact on another community and society in that city, then there is a responsibility to protect the majority. There is nothing wrong with having a smaller protest that the police are able to control and if vast numbers turn up they are prevented from joining the protest and arrested if they don't leave, also the protest organisers should be made to pay for the policing, if it's a one off fair enough but when there have been so many it's not for the public to foot the bill for their political beliefs. Now there is violence and the protesters aren't taking any responsibility for their behaviour, then the police need to do what they should have done months ago, instead of enabling and emboldening them they need to be tougher and put in more restrictions, which is what they should have done in the first place and been tougher. Now they are paying the price for their appeasement which they have brought upon themselves.
