Oh thanks very much for yet another great explanation! Was a lot of fun to watch! I enjoyed the comparison with nobel ladies, and i bet it would be very funny to watch an anime with a tomboyish girl speaking via 僕 and ぜ on the one side, and kind of feminine/royal young lady speaking posh traditional Japanese with a rising わ! and the end :D The only small thing that i missed is the actual meaning of this particle, but i guess it just adds some sort of emotion/emphasis similar to よ?
I kind of feel わ expresses surprise or sometimes informs listeners of new info too(similar to よ in this case). It's definitely something along those lines.
Interesting. Thank you both. In our everyday lives, we seldom stop to think about the meaning behind the use of "わ". And we might not have a strong association of "わ" with any particular emotion or the conveying of feelings. If anything, it might give us a clue like, "Ah, this person speaks in this manner," serving more as information about our impression of the speaker.
I just subscribed 🎉 I think we need a little longer video like 30 min So I can download and listin while walking and seting in taxi Anyways I like podcast the quality of sound is good and natural ❤
Thank you for subscribing and for your feedback. Some viewers find our videos too long or too short. The longer the episode, the more challenging it becomes to create subtitles, but we could consider making longer episodes like 30+ mins without subtitles.
