Like BTS said, this album is actually about staying true to yourself. Kind of like, if you keep lying to yourself and others it will also affect your relationship. I don’t think this is about the LACK of love or it not being real, but rather not being yourself around the person you love. If you listen to their song “The truth untold”, it’s about someone who really loves their partner but they are not happy. They pretend to be happy for the sake of the other person, but they slowly realize that it’s only hurting them and their relationship. They are in love, and they try everything to to make it work, even wearing a “Mask” and hiding themselves beneath it. It’s fake love in that sense, I guess? Love is so mad and it hurts sometimes too

I'm a huge BTS fan, it was fate really😂 First year in University, I didn't feel like studying so I started listening to B.A.P on youtube...the next morning my suggested videos started playing, then I heard "No more Dreams" ... "얌마 니 꿈은 뭐니" - fell off my chair because RM's voice caught me off guard....and that was it😊years later still an Army.Everyone in the Science Faculty used to call me 'Korean Princess' ,by the time I graduated BTS fans were all over campus (last year).

You guys should react to their latest album love yourself:tear. Its full with hidden gems. I think you gonna get surprised how good it is and amazing it is. They are known for producing own songs. RM are known for writing most of the lyrics. And yeahh his poetic and meaningful style really shine in the lyrics.
I really enjoyed this reaction! I love BTS soo much and after BBMAs they got so much exposure. All big celebs at BBMAs came to greet them cuz the whole arena cheered for them. They got the loudest cheers of the night. All members are super talented individually also. Both RM and Suga were underground rappers (you can check their mixtapes n see what real talented rappers they are). J-Hope was a street dancer who taught himself to rap, check his mixtape Hope World that just came out. 가사를 좀만 제대로 들어줬으면 좋겠네요. 가사 어디에도 "상대가 나보다 적은 사랑을 줬다" 고 하지 않아요. 상대의 마음에 들기 위해서 가짜 나, 가면을 쓰고, 아파도 아프지 않은척, 약해도 강한척 해왔는데, 나 자신이 아닌 가짜 나로 한 사랑이기에 가짜 사랑이라는 얘기에요.. 상대에 대한 원망은 없습니다. 굳이 있다면 슈가 파트에서 "낯설다 하네 너를 위해 변한 내가"라는 부분 정도? 근데 그것도 네가 나를 덜 사랑했다는게 아닌, 그렇게 나조차 나를 모르게 변했는데 너조차 그런 나를 나로 봐주지 않는다는 얘기죠...
This video is about realizing that if you can't love yourself then loving someone else can't happen cause your not being true to yourself and putting on a mask. Also they used no CG for this video. Additionally the members being consumed by fire and water in the video is believed to be the members true selves being consumed by the fake persona they portray to those around them. In essence it is a METAPHOR for the suicide of the members true selves. In order to understand the storyline behind this video you will need to go all the way back to their album "the most beautiful moment in life" and go through all the album's after that in order while looking at the notes they release with each album. So all in all I'm saying this song is much deeper then the love relationship between a couple. BTS is known to discuss social issues in their songs relating to topics like suicide, depression, not loving yourself, oppression of the standards given to us by society, etc..,.
RM (Rap monster) said fake love can happen between two persons or between you and yourself. It's not always about being in a relationship with others but it can also be with your own self.

BTS is an acronym for Bangtan Boys or Bangtan Sonyeondan as you know means Bulletproof Boy Scouts. However, in July 2017 they announced they'd also be known as Beyond the Scene as part of their new identity. So BTS= Beyond The Scene (this suits them because as a group they always look at the big picture and don't simply follow a designated road. They also go beyond expectations.) Oh and one more thing you should know is that Rapmonster changed his name to just RM because it just form a new identity for him...hes tired of being called a "monster" lol he is a human who wishes to take up a brighter image that goes beyond his past identity which I think is great since I also always called him RM for short hahaha😂 Anyways nice reaction!
I definitely got into Korean culture because of BTS! As an Asian American, it makes me so happy to see Asians get so famous for something that is not martial arts. It’s also cool to see Sean know of RM from the underground days. He’s legit!
Well it's been a year since you first posted this video, so sorry for my late response. I've been following Korean music since Wonder Girls showed up in my TH-cam in 2008. I saw Wonder Girls two times live in the U.S. - San Francisco 2010, and 2012. I began to notice BTS when they released "Dope" in 2015. Their dance practices really impressed me a lot. Glad that BTS has the success that many hoped Wonder Girls might have.
its funny how korean thinks that the name BTS sounds and is better than bangtanseonyeondan. cause i remember, when bangtan was not that popular before, when people first heard their name, they would go "behind the scene?". like they get that kind of joke for their group name. likewise, koreans joke for their korean name, while english speaking people joked for their english name. well, but now, when people hears bts, they would think of the group bts first now, not behind the scene anymore. and koreans are not making fun of their name anymore too. its incredible how bangtan made that happen. they are that big and influential now. they even changed peoples perspective
Don't know if you know this but RM appeared in the first 15 or 20 episodes of Problematic Men. One day he was on with Jackson from GOT7. The hosts asked Jackson if he was a rapper. He said no. Then they asked "Don't you rap in some of the songs?" He said "Yes, I rap. I try. But I'm not a rapper." So these idol groups are aware that they don't do 'real' rap. Oh yeah, years back BTS and Block B went up against each other in a Battle of the Bands. It was great.

Sorry to send so much comments but: BTS actually has really talented members, like it's astounding. Jimin was a member of a dance school, top of his class I believe. Suga and Rap Monster are great rappers that used to be underground rappers, they also produce music well, they've taken part in almost if not all their songs and Suga took part in producing Suran's Wine. J-Hope was originally just a very passionate boy with great (exceptional) talents at dancing and now also raps really well. There's also Jungkook, he's the youngest (maknae) and excells at anything he does (literally: the boy can literally ace anything), he's also extremely stable at singing while dancing. We have Jin, Jin sings so well and tries his best at everything he does. He often tells Dad jokes too and is also grear at singing with a unique voice (in my opinion). Last but not least we have Taehyung, he is BLESSED with an extremely handsome face and a beautifully deep voice (which i find unique in kpop). The entire group plays a major part in the production of their music and music videos aswell as what they want to stand for as a group.
Ps you should react to BTS suga mixtape especially the songs "the last" and "Tony Montana feat bts Jimin". You would like it a lot. The song talks about the dangers of being an idol as well as discussing the topic of suicide in his lyrics.

You guys should react to their latest album love yourself:tear. Its full with hidden gems. I think you gonna get surprised how good it is and amazing it is. They are known for producing own songs. RM are known for writing most of the lyrics. And yeahh his poetic and meaningful style really shine in the lyrics.
I really enjoyed this reaction! I love BTS soo much and after BBMAs they got so much exposure. All big celebs at BBMAs came to greet them cuz the whole arena cheered for them. They got the loudest cheers of the night. All members are super talented individually also. Both RM and Suga were underground rappers (you can check their mixtapes n see what real talented rappers they are). J-Hope was a street dancer who taught himself to rap, check his mixtape Hope World that just came out. Jimin, Jungkook, V and Jin all have unique voice quality not generally seen on kpop scene, you can hear the song truth untold from new album or their solo songs n will see. 가사를 좀만 제대로 들어줬으면 좋겠네요. 가사 어디에도 "상대가 나보다 적은 사랑을 줬다" 고 하지 않아요. 상대의 마음에 들기 위해서 가짜 나, 가면을 쓰고, 아파도 아프지 않은척, 약해도 강한척 해왔는데, 나 자신이 아닌 가짜 나로 한 사랑이기에 가짜 사랑이라는 얘기에요.. 상대에 대한 원망은 없습니다. 굳이 있다면 슈가 파트에서 "낯설다 하네 너를 위해 변한 내가"라는 부분 정도? 근데 그것도 네가 나를 덜 사랑했다는게 아닌, 그렇게 나조차 나를 모르게 변했는데 너조차 그런 나를 나로 봐주지 않는다는 얘기죠...

This video is about realizing that if you can't love yourself then loving someone else can't happen cause your not being true to yourself and putting on a mask. Also they used no CG for this video. Additionally the members being consumed by fire and water in the video is believed to be the members true selves being consumed by the fake persona they portray to those around them. In essence it is a METAPHOR for the suicide of the members true selves. In order to understand the storyline behind this video you will need to go all the way back to their album "the most beautiful moment in life" and go through all the album's after that in order while looking at the notes they release with each album. So all in all I'm saying this song is much deeper then the love relationship between a couple. BTS is known to discuss social issues in their songs relating to topics like suicide, depression, not loving yourself, oppression of the standards given to us by society, etc..,.

BTS is an acronym for Bangtan Boys or Bangtan Sonyeondan as you know means Bulletproof Boy Scouts. However, in July 2017 they announced they'd also be known as Beyond the Scene as part of their new identity. So BTS= Beyond The Scene (this suits them because as a group they always look at the big picture and don't simply follow a designated road. They also go beyond expectations.) Oh and one more thing you should know is that Rapmonster changed his name to just RM because it just form a new identity for him...hes tired of being called a "monster" lol he is a human who wishes to take up a brighter image that goes beyond his past identity which I think is great since I also always called him RM for short hahaha😂 Anyways nice reaction!

Well it's been a year since you first posted this video, so sorry for my late response. I've been following Korean music since Wonder Girls showed up in my TH-cam in 2008. I saw Wonder Girls two times live in the U.S. - San Francisco 2010, and 2012. I began to notice BTS when they released "Dope" in 2015. Their dance practices really impressed me a lot. Glad that BTS has the success that many hoped Wonder Girls might have.

its funny how korean thinks that the name BTS sounds and is better than bangtanseonyeondan. cause i remember, when bangtan was not that popular before, when people first heard their name, they would go "behind the scene?". like they get that kind of joke for their group name. likewise, koreans joke for their korean name, while english speaking people joked for their english name. well, but now, when people hears bts, they would think of the group bts first now, not behind the scene anymore. and koreans are not making fun of their name anymore too. its incredible how bangtan made that happen. they are that big and influential now. they even changed peoples perspective

Don't know if you know this but RM appeared in the first 15 or 20 episodes of Problematic Men. One day he was on with Jackson from GOT7. The hosts asked Jackson if he was a rapper. He said no. Then they asked "Don't you rap in some of the songs?" He said "Yes, I rap. I try. But I'm not a rapper." So these idol groups are aware that they don't do 'real' rap.
Oh yeah, years back BTS and Block B went up against each other in a Battle of the Bands. It was great.

Sorry to send so much comments but: BTS actually has really talented members, like it's astounding. Jimin was a member of a dance school, top of his class I believe. Suga and Rap Monster are great rappers that used to be underground rappers, they also produce music well, they've taken part in almost if not all their songs and Suga took part in producing Suran's Wine. J-Hope was originally just a very passionate boy with great (exceptional) talents at dancing and now also raps really well. There's also Jungkook, he's the youngest (maknae) and excells at anything he does (literally: the boy can literally ace anything), he's also extremely stable at singing while dancing. We have Jin, Jin sings so well and tries his best at everything he does. He often tells Dad jokes too and is also grear at singing with a unique voice (in my opinion). Last but not least we have Taehyung, he is BLESSED with an extremely handsome face and a beautifully deep voice (which i find unique in kpop). The entire group plays a major part in the production of their music and music videos aswell as what they want to stand for as a group.

2 According to RM, the song is about if you're not true to yourself, you'll loose the love. It can be person to person, or me to myself. They big theme is self empowerment which is Love Myself, Love Yourself.
