It's very important to specifically tell a child as to what can happen to them outside the safety of their homes. I know of a 12 year old girl who fought with her Mom and while coming from school sat in a long distance train because she wanted to teach her Mom a lesson. She was from Mumbai but landed up somewhere in Pandharpur. Was sold to a brothel. She was rescued but not before her life was ruined.

Children are vulnerable ....they do not understand that the world can be a wicked place where devil's roam in the disguise of our very own loved ones. It is important to let them know that they are unsafe, ironically, in their human world, where mama, chachas and strangers can be equally monstrous. It is a sad thing, though, but humans are like this, shamefully.
I would not discriminate between a girl child and a boy child. Both have similar dangers. But it is important that parents do not Overstress the girl child only, making them conscious forever that they are prone to danger. Do not always strain the girls, restrict them and endanger their social and psychological development.
Please, I request all parents to teach your boys, young and old enough to understand, that girls are not play toys, they have to respect a girl, whatever their age and keep the eyesight proper. They must be taught donestic chores at home and not only be guided in their choice of profession but social behavior, too, especially their conduct either women. Do not advise girls to always follow conduct, it's important for boys in particular.

I'm glad Rashi is safe. But is it safe to put this video up? yes, I know he shares 95% of his life with us, but is it totally okay to post a video, letting strangers know that your daughter leaves the house without permission and that you might not be aware of her location 24/7 (she had already left when they realised).
