    You might come across a fight like this in the UFC. Some fighters aren’t afraid to through strikes and actually set something up and follow through with it. Great sparring.

    This is actually a question I wondert about for a long time why would you do MMA sparing with boxinggloves instead of hybrid MMAgloves?

    • @tuvijaselacome
      @tuvijaselacome 6 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      Wolfero bc mma gloves can hurt real bad!

    • @MrFTW-dj1dw
      @MrFTW-dj1dw 6 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      Sparring is meant to be in a safe controlled environment and since boxing gloves have more padding they are selected for sparring more than the hybrid gloves

    • @Strikess15
      @Strikess15 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sayheyi when you feel it, you feel the difference, it’s actually harder to catch kicks with boxing gloves since you don’t have grip

      We Train with boxing gloves vecause Even if you wear mma sparring gloves you can easily do much damage

    • @BrooklynMMA

    • @dylansmith829

      also head gear is usually a bigger danger than a protection....much harder to see kicks coming and ur less scared of getting hit

    I practice Martial Arts at American Top Team, though our variation seems to focus much more on groundwork and wrestling than on our standup striking. I suspect that's because one of our instructors, Dhiego, specializes in Brazilian Jujitsu.
    That is to say, we still do practice our Muay Thai and Kickboxing, just that our ground-fighting seems to be our primary focus.

    This part of sparing I never favored. I'm talking about being nice ofcourse on those head kicks. Cose you got to go slow, but then it's an easy catch and there is a takedown. Kind of unfair a little.. but I guess it's treining so ..

    • @Ky_Mma
      @Ky_Mma 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That’s why you set them up. If you just throw kicks without setups you get knocked out

  • @huntercole7955
    @huntercole7955 7 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    The guy in venom has good kicks... thats really it his defense is turning and running, over extended punches and charging with sloppy footwork, and that takedown shot was not set up at all. Idk why everyone in the comments is so happy with this

      Gerald Deliva no, i don't think so, but i don't like when pro mma fighters sparring looks like dancing

    • @tomchuur6431
      @tomchuur6431 7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      You only see that in the amateur division because they do not know as much as pros do. They run in and fight without total thought, leaving hundreds of openings in a single fight. Pros think more and know when to and when not to engage.

    • @ALBO4REAL
      @ALBO4REAL 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ВаняФедьків-и8ф if you call it dancing then youve never been in the situation. When your actually up against someone its way different then how you imagjned. They are trying to feel eachother out and go for the clean shots instead of going for strikes and takedowns that won't do nothing to them but get them tired. In a real fight one wrong move can get you screwed.
