As weird as it might be, they probably could make the VR thing a a reality for audience members. The technology is already there for people to visit places around the world without leaving their bedrooms so it shouldn't be difficult to do it for this show.
I think people assume too much about Russ. All I've seen of him on the clippers has been him loving being there and hes been buying into the role they gave him. He obviously knows it's kawhis team. He's doing the work to build chemistry and figure out how he can make a positive contribution to the team not to revitalize his career but be a part of the teams goal of winning a championship. As someone who was never a Westbrook fan I'm glad the clippers have him. If he can put together performances like he did against the warriors the clippers will succeed.
