Just incredible love everything the history the beautiful special pieces the stories behind the treasures . Thank you for sharing with us Audrey & Dave
Just saw this video today..I started following yinz on IG months ago bc I knew you were in Western PA..I'm also from Western Pa..Beaver Falls to be exact, so I feel a sense of comfort seeing someone talk about "home"..My ears perked up when yinz were talking about Old Economy and the Harmonites..I remember every year in elementary school, we would have a field trip usually to Old Economy Village..boy if I had only taken a better interest in History then as I do now! The 1 room schoolhouse sticks in my mind the most! I'm currently in NE PA but I still have most of my siblings still over there and I got a chance to visit them earlier this month..I wanted to return to Old Economy Village but as it was New Years wknd, everything was closed..you have taught me a few things about some of your pieces and their origin..so thank you so much for sharing your homestead and some of its history..
Where do you find your furniture pieces, etc.? You have done a wonderful job decorating the house. This is such a nice video showing the pieces that would have been used back in the 1800's. I love all the ironwork Dave made also; he is very talented! (You mentioned you have an Etsy account......can you give me your shop's name?). I know the cupboard & the plate/fork is very special to you. THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!
We have closed our etsy shop. We live on a working farm and it interfered with my daily chores and trying to do the etsy shop well. Thank you so my for watching and commenting!
Just a wonderful tour! I like you love old chairs! Do you know Walker homestead in Brookfield MA? I wonder if they are related to your original owner? I’m from Upstate, NY which has so much 16th Century Dutch & English History and live in a reproduction cape. I am always looking for other channels that love what I do and I just found your channel and love it! Where is your home located? Thank you again for the tour! 💕
Hi, we do know them, used to do antique shows together. They are not related to our Walker's. There were 2 Walker families that entered into the United States and they were not ours. I am lucky to be able to go back to the late 1600 on my ancestry. We are located in Western Pa. My ancestors settled in Cumberland County Pa at first. I love meeting kindred spirits! Thanks for following along!

I just found your channel and really enjoyed your tour. I love primitive decor. My son lives in Sarver, not far from Saxonburg. 😊
Thank you so much for watching! Our Walker House was right across from the gold course if you know where that is. Hope you have a great day!
