- Battle of BC 6 in Vancouver, Canada took place recently, and we got the usual jokers there, like MkLeo and his Joker and Sparg0 and his Cloud. But this event was dominated by two explosion-wielding characters that nobody expected to see pop off - a Snake and a Banjo player...

10:16 dthrow ftilt connects on Cloud because when Cloud lies down after the dthrow, his knee sticks up lol. dthrow ftilt also works on Samus and a lot of chubby characters that are wide relative to how tall they are like pika squirtle olimar ivysaur ness lucas villy isa GnW Wario and YL.
Snake is both very cool and one of the lamest characters in the game

Everything said here is true. I respect the creativity and thinking that goes into snake unlike the way some people play other campers, zoners, or whatever but also sometimes it just sucks to play against him.
If it weren’t for grenades he’d be infinitely more fun to play against imo

12:38 I think the reason Sparg0 has been doing high back airs is to avoid nades that are on the floor (esp when Snake does shield nade). he might’ve thought it’s more consistent to always space bairs high in this MU to avoid nades regardless of if they were actually present (could help take a little off of his mental stack) but that left him open to crouch/dtilts going under bair.

It's interesting that we haven't really seen this archetype of snake at all and the way we're introduced is hurt top 8'ing every tournament he goes to. How long will it take for people to figure him out?
Also sidenote just thought this was funny but I forgot that I opened hitman before clicking the video, and the music kicked in right when the set started it fit perfectly with the snake gameplay, but I was so confused like why did the editor make this set sound so serious 😭
not a top player obviously, but i feel like we've seen plenty of this archetype of snake with the likes of dio and shogun. hurt just happens to be way better lol

Watching TG this tourney DEFINITELY felt like he and Hurt were playing a somehow extremely similar way with two totally different characters. Had to be the grenades lol. Busted mechanic.

For me, this Banjo was equally as surprising as Snake winning the tourney.
Imo Torguri choked against Yoshidora
And Yoshidora choked against Sparg0, in my opinion. Felt like a full circle of choking between those two matches 😂😂 I was in shambles after the down b lol.

I feel like Leo's Pythra isn't as good as his other characters, but would've still been the best pick against Banjo. Way better matchup, especially when he doesn't have experience.
u might be the only guy out here seeing Leo play the Joker and say, “i don’t think he should be playing the Joker.” so grats for that 🫱🏼🫲🏽

well yeah, he's denying space with slightly differing timings to ensure hurt can't encroach on that space safely, while also maintaining a threatening presence to set up his own aggression if he sees an opening in hurt's response to the bair wall.

sparg0's decision making was definitely off this tournament. Showed a LOT during the Yoshidora sets and obviously carried into both Hurt sets
