It's a good time to be a gundam fan this year. Witch from Mercury, Battle Alliance, and now the release of Evolution. Makes me want to start making gunpla again.
Don't forget the Cucuruz Doan's Island movie too, it's been one of the best years content wise for Gundam

@@donaldharrisjr.4510 I used to complain Evolution wasn't more like Battle Operations. But with the major push gundam has been getting this year maybe even more will be done for Battle operations.
I bought a shitton of gunpla last month. Working on the real grade rx93v2 hi-v nu gundum. I'm loving it.
I appreciate that the Beam Magnum is locked away in a super, I dread to think of how busted it would be as its default weapon

remember guys, beam magnum doesnt just take an e-pack (basically a standard beam magazine) each shot, it’s so powerful that when used with a normal mobile suit, it takes off an arm each shot
When you realize Unicorn passive heal isn't technically repair damage parts but manipulate time by reverse back to it's original state.

The developers said they want to have lesser know units in Gundam Evo as well as the popular ones. I'm hoping for something like a Hygogg.
It works for them since it's a character based shooter; silhouette recognition it's very important.
Absolutely shocked we got 2 Turn A suits before a single SEED suit. Turn A rules though

@@Beatness121 Technically we do have a SEED suit. Though it's just a variation of the DOM from the Universal Century.
I'm very glad to see that some Suits are getting different "loadouts" so we still get see them show off their other abilities and weapons from the shows, can't wait to see the roster fill up after a few months (if they Don't give up on the game shortly after release)

Really looking forward to this, sadly I didn't get picked for the Steam test at the time. I'm hoping we get something like Astray Blue 2nd Revise, Zaku Amazing, Beargguy III or Tallgeese II in later seasons.
I played it in the steam beta and I don't think you'll be disappointed. It's super fun and fairly balanced besides Barbatos who was OP as fuck, hopefully they nerfed him. My main issue is that they don't feel like giant mechs, the game feels human-sized.
I played during the PC play test and I can confirm that the gameplay was really good. There was some balancing issues as well as some connectivity issues but overall it was a pleasant experience. This is easily my most hyped game for 2022 aside from Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
@@nihilisticnerd Imo, only Barbatos and GM Sniper were overpowered. Barbatos much more than GM Sniper. Marasai also needs a pretty big buff. Everything else seemed pretty balanced imo. Maybe give Pale Rider like a 10% bigger magazine? Idk.
@@MrCholoPants3415 IIRC They fixed Marasai's hook shot since the PC playtest. I didn't have too many issues with GM Sniper that I can recall. Barbatos made me wanna put my head through a wall sometimes.

This game is going to go sooooo hard, love the time and work they put in since the online test
It does go hard, I just finished a match that looked straight out of the anime. So many mechs moving as fast as they could. I was using the Marasai and was going toe to toe with an Emmy barbatos and their Marasai. Both sides did equally good and it nearly ended in a draw. The deciding factor on who won was .01%.
Just the right amount of speed, I just wish this was 3rd person view
All it needs is a solid After Colony rep and it is looking like a master piece. I vote we get the Epyon for another melee machine.

Hmm why wouldn't there be. The beta was sucessful the global channel for the game have 2 million subscribers. The only problem is the fact that Overwatch 2 releases on October for all platforms. And they will compete directly against each other.

No because Aim assist takes away the competitive integrity. Consoles can play with other consoles and use controllers. Not everything needs to be crossplay

I played the network test. It does slap. The melee gundams were a bit overtuned, but nothing as glaringly broken as Brigg/Doomfist from OW. We'll see how balance shakes out, but the first few weeks should be a blast before the metas start forming.
WTH BANDAI!!?? Why are the console and pc launches so far apart? and at the end of November of all months
It would not shock me if we see a system similar to echo fighters from super smash. Something like that could allow them to add more ms without polluting the game with too many characters and abilities.
I do and don't hope that happens. With so many shows and MS to pick from it could be hard to keep up with all the abilities and feel overwhelming, but at the same time with so many to possibly add and make unique could keep the game fresh. Taking apex for example, in the last 3 years they've only added 13 characters, which seems like a lot, but when I played I only liked and used maybe 2-3 of them and would still use characters from day 1 the rest of the time, it got boring, repetitive, and now I don't even play it. Also I honestly hated the echo fighters from smash, I can understand why they did it but still. They're just the same moveset with different passives basically, could've easily just been a skin like robin and ryu/ken had. It seemed like a wasted character slot that a whole unique character people wanted for a long time could have taken
if they do something like this, it'd probably just be cosmetic only. But it DOES allow for new voice lines and vfx without, as you said, polluting the game. Something I distinctly remember about playing this game was the excellent sound design too, so they'd probably execute it well.
@@jer8274 Smite has a lot of character over 100 to be exact but I only see less than half actually used I see ur point less is more more is less if that makes sense
@@wav3zeq perfect example, I don't think too many characters will be bad because everyone will only have a preferred few they like to play, and having so many possible enemy team setups can make each match a more unique experience, keeping the game from getting too repetitive

Personally hoping for more obscure frames like how we're getting Pale Rider. Gremory? Crossbones?
During the beta, they asked players to suggest frames to add to the game in their exit survey. I anticipate they will continue asking for player suggestions and running polls on their socials going forward. They've been pretty communicative with the community on their forums as well.
I wonder how the roster will work ..since there are a lot of mobile suits...
Finally a good game to play. The new cosmetics look sick as heck and I'm surprised to see multiple new gundams added already. Hopefully they buffed my boi Exia.

Reading so much from the comments, finally someone compare this to gundam online. All are just saying overwatch and never realize it's actually from gundam online. But as you said the amount of players 52 vs 52 should have stayed and the ammo system where bullets aren't infinite while needing to pick up from support MS or going to a replenish point for refilling should be there as well IMO. Also too bad that they took away all the tactical plays such as Guntank bombarding an area ETC. The balancing I think is quite well done but it just feels weird when you see a Guntank boosting like a gundam frame. So I think the gameplay feels more towards to a fast pace ver. of gundam online.
I wonder if they will add those aquatic suits to this game.
