What a special treat! This special had all of the proper ingredients for excellent stand-up. Well-written jokes, exceptional delivery, seamless transitions, honesty, no fat on any of the jokes, originality, and beautiful vocal cadence with a unique voice. Truly high-caliber work! Sincerely, you are going to be a HUGE success! Thank you for working your talents into something worthy of the most discerning comedy tastes. I am subscribed and you can count me as a new fan. I will tell everyone I know that likes good stand-up to watch this special. You are killing it, Bec!
funny shit bec. super glad for you that you're mentally in a good place. i have had trichotillo for 22years and watching you actually have fun with your ticks is refreshing. keep it up
girl, ur amazing! such great voice control and performance, so much charisma! i stumbled upon this special in my recommended and watched it all in one go. ty for making my day
What a great set! I was just diagnosed with ADHD at 37 years old, and hearing you talk about reexamining your past from a new perspective feels all too real to me. And you did it all while being a great storyteller and making me laugh!
I am also a bipolar baby and this brought me so much laughter. You are a delight on stage and have such an attitude of grace towards the topics. Would love to see more from you!!!
This is brilliant Bec. I just saw you on Spicks and Specks and decided to check you out on youtube as a result. I think you have huge potential as a comedian. I love your honesty and ability to laugh at yourself and your situation. I am a huge fan of Primus. I am also a huge fan of true crime. Oh, and my step mother is also called Wendy :) And I had a Dolly subscription in 1988 lol. And I am type 2 bipolar. Which is a far less problematic diagnosis it seems - I have several friends who have type 1 and unmedicated, they struggle to function. Not just with all the bullshit society expects of us, but with the stuff that really matters, like interpersonal relationships and maintaining a sense of hope and purpose. It is a cruel neurological condition and I am so pleased that you got diagnosed and the medication works for you. Keep up the good work :) I think you've got a future in comedy... I can see you on a show like The Cheap Seats. Also, your singing voice is pretty good - ever thought about musical comedy? Belle (from WA).
Belle! Oh my god we sound like the same girl! This is such a nice comment, no one ever has complimented my singing, so this is a huge day for me! Hope I can keep making you laugh ❤
Just finished this special on my work computer. I looked up your account to see more, and honestly, it's not enough. I need more of your comedy! Keep going, you've definitely got it. My favorite parts included when I noticed how a lot of the crowd was super silent, and hanging on your every word, only to be followed by boisterous laughter when the punch hit. If that's not crowd control, then I don't know what is.
Love, love, and love this performance and the glimpses of numerous slices of life that Bec shared with us. Slices of life which had me nodding in 'Yup. I know those feelings.' 😊
Was so awesome to meet you at the pub last week, you are a wonderful human! And on top of it all - you're a brilliant comedian! Fuck yeah! So many great moments in this show. 💖🧡
Oh I'm so glad you never got that tattoo, and your therapist knew how to get you into the appointment. There's no shame if you did, but probably a good thing he called. You're doing great!
"...and she was still there the next day. That's the worst way to find out your dad's a great root" 😂😂 the audible "WOO!" then the "EUGH!" 😂😂 ~YW! Here from the You Wouldn't pod, sorry I'm late but loved you on the episode!
Wow. Just wow. As a person 15 years sober & probs BPII & medicated… the reframing… wuffff yeah. Really amazing and hey, you could pick WAY worse bands to worship, truly. BRAVA on a tremendous special. Subscribed, but of course.
I came here from the Luke And Meg Podcast thinking I hadn't seen Bec Charlowood before and getting her confused with Becky Lucas only to realise I saw your tiktoks like 4 months ago because of the shirt
Wow, incredible. This world would be in a much better place if she could be cloned. Definitely a treasure for our community. Her performance for Bipolar Date Nights would be Awesome.
I havent been diagnosed with Bi polar. But, I do know I have some sort of mood illness. Whats interesting is, when I got treated with clinical depression is a lot of my impulsiveness and mood stuff went away. There were a lot of apology letters for sure.
Fun animal fact: Female Hyenas have a pseudo-penis. Basically their clits are huge. & as you may know, penile & clitoral tissue is the same. Its the same organ, only that during fetal development for humans, the tissue either grows in a penis or stays smoll to make the clit, and then either the eurethra travels up the peen or stays put and the vulva develops, etc. But for female hyenas, their urethra & vaginal canal are also...through their pseudo-penis. O.O and yes. They have to give birth that way. On the flip side though, the water opposum, aka the yapok, is the only currently living marsupial (RIP the thylacine) where both females and males have a pouch. Plus, unlike alot of other marsupials, its pouch opening is located towards the back/bottom. Male yapoks will tuck their genitalia inside of their pouch to keep their bits safe while swimming. :) Thylacines also had the same set up going on but theyre not aquatic and were hunted to extinction before we could really learn about them 3: All we have now are some taxidermy specimens and theyre extremely limited. & the very last thylacine died in capitavity because someone forgot to bring her inside at the end of the day so she froze to death ._. The more you know 🌈
Nobody tell her to look up The Les Claypool Frog Brigade. Their "Purple Onion" album will literally make her head explode. No meds will bring her back from that one.
I got the ultra package a little shake of BP1. A lil razzle dazzle BPD . Ptsd aadhd . GA. Night terrors. Insomnia. And a touch of hypertension.. buddy. You made all 15 of me laugh ❤😂
@@paulbradley705 another fun fact about my car, no matter how tired she is, if I touch her rear feet for more than a few seconds she will run away. But she doesn't mind her tail being touched at all
If she's bipolar I'm gonna need a breakdown of her medication list because honestly I've been chasing that type of natural happiness for a minute now 😅
This was amazing. Great energy throughout. I laughed the whole time. Thank you! Loved it from the start. Now I'm wondering if y'all wanna go Poly and I'll split the wedding costs with your boyfriend!
As a bipolar baby but also someone who relies on humour to deal with it I can’t express how much this is needed in our community.
Any tips on medication for bipolar syndrome? I got a friend who is addicted to this women that is destructing towards him.

You had me at Primus! and the real question is can you still listen to it? because let's just face it... it is pretty damn amazing.

What a frigging delight. Gave my Mum the absolute shits because I was laughing so much while watching your special with head phones on.
Sorry not sorry!
when you mentioned animal facts, my mind instantly went to sea lions disturbing mating rituals
so you glossed over the disgusting fact that sea lions forceful and aggressive mating rituals are done without any age discretion?!
