New Mexico has a wide range of housing prices depending on which town you choose. In Tucumcari, you can get a 2,000 sq foot brick, nice home in a nice neighborhood for around 100k. It is not a town, it's a neighborhood in Albuquerque. I've never heard it called Sandia Heights. Rio Rancho is on a sand filled mesa top. The only water up there is on the golf courses. There are no mountain valleys there as you pictured. Not a bad place but not represented well by your video. Corrales, Mesilla, close enough. Los Alamos and White Rock are practically closed communities. You have to work at LANL to live there, for all intents and purposes. Unless you work at Buger King or Walmart. As for schools, our state is ranked last among the 50 states, same with child welfare. There are a very few good public schools. Very few. Private education is not bad. Let's face it. You don't know anything about New Mexico. You just did a couple Google searches, borrowed some stock video footage, and slapped together a video. If you're really interested in learning about New Mexico, ignore this video. Let me start by saying I live near Albuquerque, NM. I've lived here for over 26 years. So I know what I'm talking about because you're talking about my home. Eastside is not a town. It's just the east side of Albuquerque. That section of Albuquerque also includes some of the highest crime areas in the city. Rio Rancho is not a suburb, it's an actual city. The petroglyphs are in Albuquerque, not Rio Rancho. I used to live about a mile down the road from the petroglyphs. Corrales is surrounded by Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. 90% of the pictures you've shown are not for the community you were talking about at the time. Buying a home in most of the areas you've mentioned may seem affordable to someone who doesn't know New Mexico. The fact is, finding a job that will allow you to afford one of those homes is difficult at best. For example, White Rock is great but your only real employment opportunity that pays enough to afford a home there, is Los Alamos National Labs. Same goes for the town of Los Alamos itself. You also overlooked the largest National Lab in the country, Sandia National Labs located in Albuquerque. Sandia Labs employs over 12,000 people. So it's a pretty significant employer in Albuquerque. Now lets talk about how badly you butchered the names of so many places. I'm white and your pronunciation of Hispanic words is causing me absolute fits. Probably helps that so many of my in-laws and friends are Hispanic. If you come to New Mexico there's a good chance that if a word looks "funny" to you, you don't know how to say it properly so just ask. We'll be happy to help you out. Warning to people from out-of -state: We have the best Chile in the world but our definition of "hot" food and yours may differ quite a bit. Ask for a sample before you go all out ordering something with chile on it. If you really think you can handle the heat, ask a local where to go to get good chile and not the weak stuff we feed to tourists.
Jeez...like other comments, if you are going to do a video like this, please learn how to pronounce the names of the places you are talking about. It really discredits the information you are providing. #NativeNewMexican

Eastside is the area east of the railroad tracks. A lot of it is the International District aka the War Zone. The Eastside also includes the heights.
"Eastside" is not a town. It's a generic designation for the city east of the Rio Grande. West of the river is called... wait for it... the West Side.
The actual dividing line is the Railroad tracks and North and South dividing line is Central Avenue.
@@donovanfoto3263 OK, postmaster general. I've been here 20+ years. The river is the unofficial line, regardless of what the mailing address says.

I prefer accurate information.
No NFL team, no NBA team, no Hockey team, no National College teams...no major universities and no MLB team.
Major colleges and universities, but small.
WHAT ABOUT UNM AND THE LOBOS??? I think it is great, even with the crime. It's a beautiful state. Prices are MUCH lower than CA. True, she is misguided and needs to visit the area to learn pronunciation, the prices are off on real estate, most roads are NOT PAVED, but we have 'Hernandez' and 'Trinity'.
@@donovanfoto3263 University of Nothing Much? To big, I much prefer Tech. I mean, you can't go wrong with a school that owns its own explosive test range.
@@Krieghandt I work on the mountain at NMT, but there’s a reason Socorro didn’t make the list. I commute from Los Lunas.
@@DaveGme I love Socorro for many reasons most ppl don't. Which means I don't have to share :) I like Los Lunas as well. Great town the exact distance needed from ALBQ.
She’s never been here. Don’t move here if you don’t have to. People here are moving out.
Sounds good, more space for me
You need some help with pronouncing the Spanish influenced names.
La Mesilla... It is pronounced Muh see uh.... not muh sill uh...
No mention of the horrifying crime and poverty statistics. If this is an example of the infornation on your channel, I wont be watching any others.
You would think the "narrator" would learn how to pronounce the cities correctly. It was embarrassing to listen to the gringa.
I can't say Hispanic/Native Words..LoL😂
Mesilla…please pronounce, “Meh-SEE-yah”….narration should require a native speaker….(sigh)
Jeez...like other comments, if you are going to do a video like this, please learn how to pronounce the names of the places you are talking about. It really discredits the information you are providing. #NativeNewMexican
Ok who paid for this false info of Abq. 😂😂😂
DITTO!!!! LEARN TO PRONOUNCE THE NAMES OF THE SITES YOUR MENTIONING IN YOUR VIDEO...ITS INSULTING...THIS IS OUR CULTURE AND HERITAGE...ITS NOT JUST ABOUT MAKING MONEY FOR YOU!!!
Is this a parody?
The Kimo Theater in Albuquerque shown is known to be haunted. 👻👻
Farmington, NM
Please! Learn how to pronounce place names if you are going to write and speak of places. Better yet, people should come here to investigate on their own rather than listening to this crap.
Eastside of Albuquerque does NOT have good public schools!
The east side is not a city it’s all part of Albuquerque it’s all the same not a good place to live to much crime !
Ruidoso usually makes these lists but apparently she has a "Progressive" bias. 🤦
Taos also
