Today I go through some of the key information that I discovered during a discord stream by the developers that will aid you in your survival when the war of the worlds releases on steam!

i would love to know if there is going to be a weather system...cause that is going to be pretty important for the immersion factor!

Answer is yes, yes they added it, in their recent video confirming it.
I hope there will be a setting that makes you adjust the amount of tripods there are.
I'd love to have quite a big map with just 5 or some walking around, gives it more fear when you encounter one.
It'll be interesting if we could yeah, like really customise and make different scenarios

I'm wondering how many days before the martians get sick, and if there is like day cap, i think.....
Also i heard from the gameplay that the tripods can see you if your infront of a window, and wouldn't it be scary if the harvesters can actually shred the roof a building or house to capture you, And imagine if they can also toss objects at you like cars or other vehicles if your attacking them,
At the moment it's around day 5 the aliens start getting sick.
I believe the developer will be adding a feature where the tripods will pull you out of buildings through windows and doorways so your wish may come true ;)

My favorite clip is at the beginning of the stream when Slendy gets spotted immediately and thrown into the cage, it had me dying
Yeah it didn't take long lol, though to be fair it did grab him through the building that was a bug

I always dislike when they make the aliens killable as that changes the gameplay from survival to slaughter action so i hope there is an infinite invasion mode
There will be an option to have an endless invasion :)
I love that this game is being spread around and being recognized by other TH-camrs, really hyped for this game
I'm glad the developer is making it as if it's a real alien invasion. I actually talked to you kit about being worried about other NPC's trying to rob and kill you for your . One thing I’m really curious about is how the game engine allows you to fight back against the tri pods. Obviously, the tri pods are darn near invulnerable in the first few days, so your only option is to run and hide.
But I would like to see if, as the days progress, the tri pods get steadily slower and weaker. Then perhaps at the 5 to 6 day mark, their shields go down and they are finally vulnerable. I would also like to see if you can salvage some higher end weapons from destroyed military units, such as grenades and missile launchers.
I’d like to see the same effects for the aliens themselves. Like in the first three days they’re super fast and strong, damn near impossible to kill. But then as the days progress, they get weaker and weaker, to the point where by days 6 or 7, they can be taken out easily, even with melee weapons.
Just some thoughts about making the immersion even more realistic.
I’d love to have a game mode where it’s free roam and you’ve got infinite stats so you can just have fun without worrying about getting killed.
Like creative mode of minecraft?
I might be more afraid of the heat ray tripod.. they can strike without warning.

There should probably be leftover grenades, Javelins, and maybe even landmines. This would add more variety to weapons that you can use against the tripods.
Also, based on the No Shield scene, they should be quite slow to react once theyre sick.

Yeah pretty much, you will have a chance to blow the machines up from the inside if you manage to get some grenades or other explosives and you get caught
I real won't stop watching this game I really hop that they update the fire and rain storm graphics and blood on hands of the character and the npcs when they are beside a harvesting tripod spraying blood.
Weather will be in the game but I haven't seen any footage of it yet so no idea how good it looks

Will you be able to control any aircraft? I know we will have access to tanks
Tripods should on Day 1 only use heat rays to create discord within the humans
Red weed should add a debuff
Reduced speed or easier spotting
And if they don't die from sickness
After a long time it they should construct town
So the dev has told me already that in the first couple of days you'll omly see the heat ray tripods and harvesters come in at about day 4, I'm sure I mentioned this in my previous video if you wanna check that out ;)
I'm pretty sure the red weed will affect the player I'm hoping to get some info off the dev soon. You'll be able to adjust in the settings how long the invasion lasts for but by default the aliens will get sick and die after about a week or so

Yeah I'm pretty sure there will be, I want to see how long I can survive for, probably just end up running out of food and water lol

Will there be different difficulties? Easy would be a 5 day invasion, Normal is a 2 week invasion, and Hard is an infinite invasion that you will never survive.

Best thing to do will be to find a cave and then just hide in there for a week, until the machines get infected with bacteria.

hey kit i was wondering if the the aliens comes out of the the tripods and search the house for u will they eat u or kill u like a little jumpscare and will there be like a gameplay of seeing actual people getting vaporized and could u ask the devs on what will happen if u try to destroy the pod that they bring in to check for humans will the aliens start to come out and search the house
It's been confirmed the aliens will come out of their pods and if they see you they will try to kill you. You will see people getting vaporised there's already gameplay of this.
Now that's called an actual survival game.

Well I want to ask you question sir and I hope that they add this game so to any one who knew about the camolt deleted scene from the movie I want to see tripods walking in packs like in this scene not just that I want to get the horror feeling when I enter a neighbourhood like seeing bike thrown in the middle of the street and abandoned cars in different positions and shaps from the one that's crushed by a tripod to the one in the middle of street with open doors and keys inside it also I want to see news papers blown in the street and flying around and gray skies that's gives you the feeling like what happened here or what catastrophic struck this place and made it looks like a ghost town?
Well one thing I can say is that the camelot scene that was cut from the film WILL be included! Also I'm not sure as to how much clutter will be flying around from what i've seen so far there isn't any apart from the clothes of the dead floating around. They might add more details like this in the future though.

bruh, this guy should have just made a tripods mod for DayZ. Everything else is already in the game. Also DayZ engine has the perfect scale for it.
Man's just want to make his own game. Let him be. We need more game developers, not mod makers.
