One of the better interviews. Ms.Larlarb conveys both an intelligence and eloquence that sneaks up on you. Her subtle humor is well intended. A beautiful woman and sincere talent. Well done ! ;)
She’s awesome. Totally down to earth. Just like the costume designers I’ve come across in my time (and I worked on Skyfall). She just loves what she does. Big love David and Suttirat 🙌
I love that there are some discarded iterations of the Combat Trousers out there somewhere literally on the cutting room floor. I have a deeper appreciation now for the N.Peal trousers that I own and love. Thanks for sharing this interview.
What strikes me the most is the number of people who work on pieces that might be on screen for 10 seconds! It is not just like Larlarb calls up a brand and just says send me 4 pieces in these sizes. Great interview David and she is such a joy to hear.
David, this is honestly one of the best interviews you've ever done. Suttirat is a fantastic guest. Bringing the pieces of the film to the interview is inspired. I honestly think the RgT jacket should have been used in the Norway scene instead of the duster. I never gave how Bond gets from the ship off Cuba to England any thought. I figured he contacted the CIA, went back to Jamaica, and flew on to the UK. Jamaica is only a few hundred miles from Cuba. Felix's boat may even have been halfway to the US between Havana and Miami, so he could have come from the US.
You said in your Rain 2 review that the pockets were not SA. Are you referencing screenshots from the film NTTD? It’s difficult for me to tell exactly where the proper placement is.
Bond wearing henleys and braces (suspenders) reminded me of The Waltons and other Depression era set movies. I would expect an upper middle class bloke to wear expensive modern smart casual. 🤔
Great video and love the Omega story. She is a wonderful person, but i have to say that there are 2 outfits in the movie that doesn’t make sense: the duster and the matera corduroy suit outfit.. corduroy in the heat…. And suspenders…. In a “holiday” outfit?? Seriously?
Nice job on actually taking pieces to her and asking about them (especially the duster)! Thanks David!
Thank you...I think it was fun for both of us!
Agreed and I liked her rationale for including it in the film
David you need to do an interview with the costume designer for the Quantum Of Solace film. Epic clothes not just for bond but for everyone.
Anything could happen!

Great video with great insights into the design process! 🙂
She is truly generous with her knowledge!

Incredible interview. This truly made me appreciate Bond on a whole new level
