I feel a bit sorry for these people, as they are making fools of themselves in a situation that most of us won't come across and won't have to experience as we benefit from the perspective of already knowing this is an auditor and would recognise it if we come across it because we have prior knowledge of the activity. A lot of people aren't aware of auditors, and if we're honest, most of us would probably react in a similar way if we were not aware of 'auditing' and had a duty to look after security. From a training perspective, I think the core issue is a lack of professional curiosity. When you come across an unusual situation (man with a camera in a place men with cameras aren't normally found) you should have somebody you can take advice and guidance from about how to deal with it, and you should always check the law. I think the man with the camera could be a bit nicer and more polite and could take the time to explain things, but at the same time, he is in the right.
"I'll educate ya" - "No, please don't" - the ignorance of people who get a buzzing sensation about "government buildings" like they are somehow exempt from photography.
Why do they all think saying "it's a government building" should make us all scared like it's a big deal. All the more reason to film, you absolute fools.
