Hi Tanya, Thank you for sharing all your tips.I have a question or three for you: 1. I've got the large 12,5L Gardenia fertilizer distributor which is the smaller one on this video, its their rectangular shaped basket one.. I have precisely measured to the correct setting testing a 1sqm are and then weighing the fertilizer distributed in that area to "wonder"'s recommended rate of application. My problem now is that when filled up completely my distributor, after applying to my lawn the distributor leaves the larger pellets which are the dark almost black pellets behind in the fertilizer.. If I increase the aperture of the distributor it will allow those bigger pellets through but then my rate of application would start becoming way to much..I believe applying rather smaller amounts of chemical fertilizer but more frequently such as 20g every 4 weeks. What possible could one do to have the right rate of application dialed in and still allow all the different material in the 7.1.3 bag to pass through? Probably the solution would be to get wonder to somehow manufacture the product so the little black pellets are made the same size.. 2. I have heard that chemical fertilizer destroys the natural micro organism within the lawn soil and that it is better practice to just use organic such as maybe Bioganic Lawn by Atlantic Fertilizers? 3. Is this LM grass in the video? 4. Would you recommend chelated iron on the lawn? How often? I have seen some videos where guys would put Chelated iron such as product by Wonder onto their lawns as this would increase the intensity of the green.. Is their something as applying to much iron on your lawn? for example, can I put out a 7.1.3 and then a week later spray a chelated iron mixed with organic fertilizer onto the lawn and it should be okay? Also after applying a chemical fertilizer can I also apply a liquid fertilizer every second week or would this be too much feeding to the lawn?
I sooooo want to hang out in my backyard with this lady and an adult beverage. Ms. Visser- if you are ever in the US, you have a standing invitation in South Georgia.
Thanks Tanya, Love you videos and TV shows. Can you comment on Liquid Fertilizer for lawns and genral garden plants. I just bought after advice at AGR a product called Agri-Boost which is a natural liquid Fertilizer with an NPK of 4-1-3. I use a 16L backsprayer and mix about 175ml to the full 16L back sprayer. Question is, Should it yeild the results, should one cut lawn and then water in, or water in first and then cut and what are the intervals needed between each. I saw somewhere that you spray on the mix evenly then leave overnight to give the nutrients time to get into the leaves and soil for roots and then water the next day for about 20min. Hope this i right? Keep up the great work. Thx
