Hulk+martial arts= invincible
Hulk has no reason to learn Martial Arts tho. He's basically unstoppable as is. Martial arts would actually be a crutch because Hulks whole style is being wild and unpredictable.
There was actually a comic about a Hulk that had Bruce's intelligence fighting Captain America, and that Hulk got his ass handed to him. Since that Hulk had actual intelligence, it had a pattern. A pattern which Cap could easily read. Cap woulda easily lost tho against a normal savage Hulk...
Yet to make the movie believable he had to be trained by Rickson...because if Banner turned into Hulk....
Rickson by armbar.
@Telios Abraxas lol American history x anyone?
World breaker Hulk

Good stuff Joe, I'm a big Edward Norton fan. Who remembers him in Primal Fear before American History X and Fight Club? Great movie.
Such a great movie. Always thought of him being psycho after it, ha.
Without a doubt my favourite Ed Norton movie (Primal Fear). He was absolutely superb and had me enthralled with his character. He’s an underrated actor who I believe has been and is one of the best actors for the last 25 yrs.
Tony Ferguson the type of guy to teach Nick Newell a straight left
I wasn't liking Norton in snippets, but if you give him time/control of the conversation he's a great narrator
6 minutes in and everything he said could've been said in 8 sentences.
Yes! Thank you! I love Ed as an actor, but this was painful
That studder at 0:15 sounds exactly like his Aaron Stampler character from Primal Fear.
Edward Norton you are a legend to me in charactor and person. Thankyou for your service to the planet. We salute you.
Sakuraba is still in competition, just did a quad match in 2023. It’s time for Rickson v Sakuraba to happen.
Respect to Joe for letting Edward talking about bushido
Bullshido
I guess Ed doesn't have access to youtube or has been living under a rock,
Or just maybe he actually has a fucking family and he's been working.
@@trappedintime8273 yes I think Eds too busy to surf the net for hours like the rest of us. He gets his info from actual people. People we watch videos of - he spends time with during his life. its pretty crazy man. hes been able to get tutelage from so many talented people.
Count Maeda was a judoka, not Aikidoka. Aikido was barely off the ground when he went to Brazil.
"you see this! It means not welcome!!"
I like that Joe doesn't shit on Aikido in this situation because he sees the positives it has provided for him
Mitsuyo Maeda (a disciple of Jigoro Kano) was the Judoka who taught the Gracies Judo. They then created BJJ from the newaza portion.
that bit about a Scottish grandfather?? was news to me
Rickson Gracie is the greatest all-round fighter of all time period. Unbeatable in his prime.

It never fails. Guest sharing great stories and personal perspectives. Viewer really getting into it and wants to hear more. Joe goes off on 5 minute tangential monologue. FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.
They should have called him for kazushi sakuraba. This man was destroying those Gracie's.
Saku is a legend. He was one of the first wrestlers to master defending submissions. It allowed him to compete against bigger guys with a better pedigree.
Brexit means Brexit
@@JaDe-jc8kf I have to agree I just remember seeing the Beatdown he put down that for family. My first thought was why can they beat this dude what is the deal?
@@Robint04 The guy was amazing. One of the biggest hearts of all time.
Please Joe Rogan, put sub-titles in english, Iam not fluent in english ( Iam french ) and i need subtitles to progress, merci beaucoup 😉👍
Every time Edward Norton says Aikido it's like Ross from Friends saying karate 😊
*karaté
Caroline you're a savage
Bring back Norton for another interview !!!!
Hickson by armbar.
the great gama was 5.7, has defeated everyone whom he fought in his 40 years of wrestling career across various fighting arts, heights, countries and disciplines. He of course won't get any highlight anywhere because he was from india. Saitama's work out regime has been taken from gama. Bruce lee's work out regime is a small part of gama.
Joe “Yes...Yes....YES...Yes” Rogan
Edward Norton is the first soothing monotone speaker I've heard talk.
"Studied Aikido" Yeah I watched Segal movies when I was a kid and didn't know any better too.
Agreed, i use to think his akido was like something out of this world and i wanted to learn it when i was a kid good thing my Mom took me to boxing and wrestling instead lol.
Great now i need to rewatch choke. cheers JRE
Norton sounds like the kinda guy that always has something to prove.
Joe.... I am doing my best to further enlighten my self and wanting to do more meditation and become more self aware but I also desperately need to experience ego death. Is there anything or any way to purchase D.M.T legally
It was like: "I studied Aikido" x 1M times hahahaha. Yes, Edward we get it..
Joe my favorite vids are when you talk BJJ, I love the passion and the art👍
Rickson Gracie’s kryptonite = Marco Ruas, the true father of MMA.
I wish Royce would hve fought him. I was a kid when ufc came out and loves Ruas and his foot stomps
can someone tell me what happened to the full episode? I went to powerfuljre and it´s not there!
I did Karate, Kai-Shin, JyoshinronRyu, and Shodokan, gotta say i completely agree with what Eddy said. When i was younger i never felt like i was learning anything that would allow me to protect myself from everyone. Even after earning my first Brown Belt in Kai-Shin i still had no real knowledge of fighting. Scared little boy Syndrome indeed.
Norton is an interesting and smart guy. Amazing actor, obviously. But one can see why he’s notoriously difficult to work with in film. He seems to believe he knows better than others, even when he doesn’t. I’m guessing he didn’t bust Finchers balls too much on fight club tho. DF is pretty potent on set, as is well documented. Most actors know to stay in their lane.
Ed Norton: i wanted to study Aikido.
Joe Rogan: Have you tried DMT?
Every time he mentioned Aikido I kept expecting him to follow up with “obviously, I know now that it’s bullshit……”
There's a real possibility that this is the most boring story I've ever heard in my life.... not 100% sure.
"Get down into the weeds" I havnt heard that in a blue moon lol! nice
