It's a brilliant album mate. I bought the LP in early '81; I have listened to it regularly ever since. I particularly like Part 1, especially the intro.
When I first started listening to this I was a bit uncertain. But good grief! You're a human matrisequencer! That left hand part is awesome. Really well done. Bravissimo.
Très très jolie ... performance, rare à deux mains sans boucle séquence, bravo et vive JMJ :) / Very very pretty ... performance, rare two-handed without loop sequence, bravo and long live JMJ
I have be JMJ fan since 1987, when one evening that year Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation was showing the Rendez-Vous concert from Houston/Texas from 1986. I bought my very first Jean Michel Jarre album on cassette in 1990/1991, when I that time didn't had a CD player. Waiting For Cousteau with tracks Calypso 1, 2 etc was my first JMJ album I bought on cassette in 1990 and my very first Jean Michel Jarre concert I bought on VHS tape was Paris La Defense which I bought in 1993/1994 😁
Wow.....ohlala....Super Sound....Great job.....i loved.....you play very good and perfect Synthesizer....My Respect....bravo....from ......Oliver Holland Rotterdam....Yeah Yeah...
Hello Jimmi ☺ Which part did Jean Michel Jarre not used his left hand and he used a sequencer to do the work for him? That arpeggio thing or to play out this bass sequencer sound? From the original track to Equinox 7 and from JMJ studio the bass synth and sound came from ARP 2600 synthersizer and GEISS Matrisequencer ☺
@@haakonstenseth I can't rember really old stuff. 1976. It was only a part off it, he got a lot of help from his audio engineer. What was his name? Michel Geiss. They designed arpeggiotors together, so complicated those days. I can't remember which track, but Jarre put his sample in one of his tracks. When sampling became possible. "Geiss, Geiss".
@@haakonstenseth listen to Équinoxe, Part 6. (1978). Geiss, designed the sequencer. Of course Jarre was the musical genius, but Geiss helped him alot with technical stuff.
@@maasle yes, that's right one of Jarre's friends is Michel Geiss, who created the Geiss Matrisequencer, that Jarre borrowed from Michel Geiss or bought from him. I have not checked the fact about JMJ borrowed this Matrisequencer from Geiss or he bought it from him. But I still know about a website, that is still bookmarked in my TAB and there you can check which CD album by JMJ, there Matrisequencer is used in the album its tracks ☺
Thanks very much :), I have an arpeggio buttons on my synths too, I am not saying I have never used them but as I told someone else on youtube it is more fun to actually play them yourself. Thanks again :)
I have noticed other peoples in TH-cam playing their version to Equinox 7 and some of their version is almost like taken from the original version if you have the same synths, keyboards etc that Jarre used in his studio so. I know of Thomas from Denmark, who have played his version to Equinox 7.
In that TH-cam link I added in my previous comments, which is a videoclip from Rendez-Vous Houston/Texas in 1986 when JMJ and his musicians are playing Equinox 7 at 2:50 in that videoclip there is a sound you can hear and the same sound you can hear also at 3:37 too, that you pretty woman in this videoclip didn't play in your version 😐
Excellent job with this cover especially as you play all the parts live. I think even Jarre his self would be impressed with this if he came across it. If your up for another request how about Chronologie 2.
Yes of course I will, thanks, I would be so happy if he did watch it, although I would never know if he did hehe! Actually, I uploaded a "Bells" cover version and added a bit of Chronologie 2 into that, just a small piece though an d I had to drop it a key so it blended in with the bells tune.,but yes Chronologie 2 is great. I will do it soon and let you know once it is uploaded ok :)
I have watched some videoclips of a guy from Norway name Rune or RuFo studio which is his profile here in TH-cam playing a extended version to Equinox 7 from his studio ☺ Have any others watched that videoclip?
ace....................play that on an arpegiator sweet hart and you will sound elite.........some folk like to import midi files and play along like sheep but i can see clearly how your playing the bass line like micky mouse on the double bass
It least we can still communicate so some part of this still works. We have bad weather moving through right now loosing power and internet yet YT messages are still coming;)
These were not original patches. They were just tweaked as close as could be from what I had. I lost access to this channel BTW. I don't have a clue what the email was to get back in. Problem is back then everything wasn't linked up to Google and now it is. So I gave up trying to get back into it.
Absolutely brilliant. Ty so much. I love the bass background of equinox 7. Can't stop listening or get it out of my mind 😂

Wow. Great cover. Your playing the arpeggio with left hand which JMJ didnt. He had a sequencer to take care of that. Good job.
And you have been looking upwards in the meantime!
