My sincerest condolences to Fletcher, to Dean Robert's family and friends, and to all to Garden Congregation. Such a remarkable soul. It was a privilege to be able to listen to the Dean and I will be forever grateful to have had the chance to hear him over the internet. Thank you Fletcher for the legacy you've built for the Dean and allowed us to share. I will always hold dear the memory of the Dean smiling at Tiger while he dipped his paw into the cream.
Happy prayers of thanksgiving for Dean Robert’s life. I will miss him! Deep sympathy and love to Fletcher and all who were very close to Dean Robert. He made such a difference in my life, encouraging me in love for God’s goodness, in prayer and by enlightening me in his many cultural sharings. So glad to be a part of the Garden Congregation. ❤
Oh Fletcher.... how else to send condolences - these last broadcasts as did the earlier ones - changed my life - I replay them regularly and will keep you close in my prayers 🙏💜💔
Dear fletcher so sorry for the loss of your beloved partner. I have been following Dean Robert morning prayers 9:16 every day and it has been a great comfort especially through Covid. I know what its like to lose a loved one as my wife died 9years ago. Thank you for all your wonderful filming of and enjoyed and marvelled at all your skill ful bringing into our lives. We shall all miss Dean Robert but know he now is in the presents of God he has been a faithful servant. I pray that God will best and watch over you God bless you and thank you Peter Evans
I weep with all who loved our whole world-loving Dear Dean Robert, but most of all I’m sending love and prayers to Fletcher. I hope you will be led in some new blessed way. Your recordings of Morning Prayers and various talks, lectures, and chats will continue to inspire and bless countless people on into the years. Maybe a biography is in your future! Our choir director shared the sad, sad news at our choir rehearsal this evening, way up in Downeast Maine! The Dean will join me for breakfast for years to come! All due to you, Fletcher! God bless you!
It is with the greatest sadness that I bid farewell to Dean Emeritus Robert Willis. May his soul rest in Peace. He has fed us spiritually with rich delights. I thank him for sharing himself with us and being the catalyst that changed so many lives. Accept our Sympathy Fletcher, I am so happy that our paths crossed . What a great being, may his spirit live on in all his writings, videos and sermons. To God be the Glory, great things He has done!🙏🏾🕊🌹🌹
Today I’ve so enjoyed Dean Robert and Peter, the priest of St Mark’s church. I’ve learned even more with their reading and discussion of a piece of St Mark’s Gospel. I don’t know what I’d do without Dean Robert and you Fletcher. Such enlightenment for my heart and soul. ♥️♥️🌺🌺
To think that the Rev Dean Roberts was still vibrantly teaching and preaching until just days before his death is extraordinary. He was a blessing to countless souls in his lifetime, including myself. To Fletcher, I extend my sincerest condolences. St. Paul writes: "I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God...And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21: 2a, 3-4
As I listen to Dean Emeritus Dr. Robert Willis I hear him discussing the chorus in the psalm. As I hear Dean Robert discuss his hymn,I hear his delight in Mark’s Gospel. What GENIUS!
Thank God for this morning worship with Father Peter and Dean Robert and firstly describing the opera of art that is displayed behind the altar and to preach a story to the Beauty of the parts that have been read of Saint Marks gospel. Its a reflection to meditate on our knees and to understand how we all have temptations in life but it's the inner spirit of strength of prayer for God's saving refuge and comfort to embrace us with his unending love and forgiveness. Its warming to see two clergy in a silent church sharing the good news. Also thankyou Fletcher for his film footage to share to all.A blessing of wholesome creativity. God bless you all today and always
I am thrilled that DR is continuing his bite-size series! The comparison and contrasting of the gospels is fascinating, and I look forward to more. Thank you, Fletcher :)
Deepest condolences to Father Peter and all at St Mark's Church on the passing of your valued guest so unexpectedly. You must be so traumatised and sad. But what a wonderful final prayer recording. Could it ever have been bettered? Thank you for that and thank you for surrounding our beloved Dean Robert with so much respect and love in his final days and hours with us in the Garden Congregation.
Good Morning from Southeast London This is a lovely way to start the week with the introduction for bites of the Gospel of Mark and also to meet Father PeterThe Reredos(Ihope my spelling is correct) is beautiful Thank-you Dean Robert and Fletcher sending our love to you both from Joanne and Chris.xx ❤
The reredos of St Mark's is stunning, such wondrous imagination, a great work of art..Thank you for enabling us to see this, and join in the prayer with you. Love and blessings, Cynthia
I love the little frog diving down in the reredos.I think it's true when we meditate on God's word we have an aura that attracts creatures to us. Thank you Fletcher for all your hard work filming this series.
Hi Elizabeth, you are completely right - creation responds to calm and the peace and centering that prayer and meditation can bring thus connects us to the natural world and allows us to appreciate those elements around us all the more
I enjoyed the discussion between Father Peter and D.R. about the differences between the gospels and the particular insights both men brought to the discussion. A wonderful learning experience for me. Thank you for your work, Fletcher, to bring these Morning Prayer sessions to us.
Wonderful morning! As Dean Robert and Fr. Walsh shared chp. 1 of Mark the sun came out here in NW Oregon... definitely a sign of the Good News. Blessings to you all and to dear Fletcher.
How delightful to be in Oregon - in the sun! We have just had conversations today concerning plans to visit churches in the SW and Pacific coast in the Fall next year 😊
I am so excited to watch Gospel Mark series of morning prayer ! Thank you for Father Peter’s explaining St Mark’s reredos - really a beautiful piece of art! Thank you Dean Robert and Fletcher 😊
Good morning! It REALLY is one of the most fascinating and beautiful pieces of art I know - if you are in the area it is well worth visiting! Also Fr Peter, his team and his flock are just lovely! X
This reredos is gorgeous ! I had a look at the history of the church to find out more and I will listen to the video once again. I read a book in french from a French Monk about St Mark ’s gospel quite aptly entitled : ” Mark, the story of a shock.” looking forward to the next ” bite size”!
Wonderful (by sheer coincidence I'm already reading 'Mark, From Death to Life' by Dennis Sweetland). Thank you for making such interesting videos that always add more positive thoughts to my 'knapsack'.🙏
The loss of Dean Robert I send my thanks to Fletcher for the creation of the animals around him the Canterbury meeting in the garden. You understood your partners grace and spirituality. Thankyou I am so sorry for the loss of your partener
Im sorry for the Loss of Fr. Robert Willis. I hate moderné churches. This thing they are talking about behind the altar is horrible and ugly. A waste of money and space.

It happened to me in our churchyard when a robin (American) walked onto my hand one morning!😊
