Enjoy making all the kinds of holiday cookies with this recipe!!🎄- Make sure to chill the cut-out & piped cookie dough completely in a fridge until right before you bake them so that they spread too much in the oven.
I LOVE this recipe, but I was wondering if almond flour is the same thing as almond meal or ground almonds, or is it an actual flour? Also, can I freeze this dough in batches so I can bake the cookies as I need them? Thank you sweetie for sharing this recipe. From Amanda Jones in Melbourne, Australia
I followed this whole recipe and I almost died of exhaustion standing up for like 5+ hours 🤣, but I now know how to strategize by prepping better. The cookies taste delish!
I always settle myself at a table or makeshift station, rolling dough etc, all in a chair. First Christmas I baked cookies I was standing, second Christmas I sat xD. I also kept liquids(water/tea) nearby to drink lol.
@haingo9079 So you say these recipes did work for you? Once I tried to follow a similar youtube cooking video and the cookies came out terrible, the whole recipe was wrong, with missing information etc. Now I would like to test this one and I hope it will work...
@@ildikoedit9110 The recipe worked, it's very detailed, precise, and really tasty. I had so many things working against me; I live in a tropical country, I have a gas oven and limited access to any of the cookie molds she has, but I did it anyways and made it work! Just make sure you prep everything beforehand, your fridge will be your bestie for the dough and don't handle the dough too much or the warmth from your hands will soften it too fast. Aya's recipes have never failed me.
A new watcher here - I legit didn't believe this could be done without a bunch of extra fuss, and I have been TAUGHT. Girl, you schooled me. I will admit when I'm wrong. What a fabulous video, and so very helpful! Thank you!
This base cookie dough is very tasty. I’m a picky baker and I love these cookies. Not too sweet but super flavourful and buttery. I also love the instructions in this video. Beautifully done!
Tried this recipe last Christmas it was a big hit with the family made around 5 gift cookie tins for the family and everyone enjoyed it saying it didnt last long ❤
Just wanted to say, I gave this recipe a try to make some gift boxes for family. I've tried similar recipes on TH-cam as well, but they never turned out well. This recipe was super easy to follow, and you are right, the gingerbread dough especially was super soft, but a couple of minutes in the fridge and it was good to go. It was actually the first gingerbread flavoured cookie that I really enjoyed! The other flavours were wonderful as well, I was skeptical about the chewy cookies, but they turned out to be my favourite. 😊 My 2 year old had a blast helping me cut-out shapes and taste test lol. All were exactly how you described, soft and buttery on the inside, with a perfectly crisp outside. I tripled the recipe on your website (using grams), and they turned out great - it was so fun to make a huge bunch of cookies! I hope you don't mind, I will definitely be saving your recipe for next year as well. I can't tell you how many I've tried over the years and they've turned out with no flavour, the recipe had so much butter that the cookies had no texture, ect. I just wanted to say thank you so much for the recipe, and thank you for all of your attention to detail in your video and on your website. It was extremely easy to navigate, and the hours and hours of work you've put into testing, editing the video, putting step-by-step pictures on the website are very clearly evident and appreciated. 😊 Wishing you and your family a very happy holiday season!
This is brilliant! I don't have the patience or stamina to make and bake all of these in one day, but I would probably divide the tasks over 2, or better yet, prepare the base dough, divide it, and delegate friends to create the different "flavors" and come back to trade.
I have made snow balls, pipped, chocolatechip, gingerbread man and chewy gingerbread. They are all good. I baked chewy gingerbread a little too long but taste still great. My favorite ones are gingerbread man and chocolate chip cookies. They are all perfect sweetness not too sweet and perfect small sizes. Great with coffee.
Wow Aya, this was so impressive. I don't even bake cookies but watched this from start to finish and I'm thinking of trying to make these for Christmas. Thanks for sharing your recipes and how you decorate so beautifully ❤
I made all 4 doughs but rolled all my cookies in balls, except for the piped cookies and ice box cookies. My favorites are the ice box and snowball cookies, but if the two, the snowball cookies are my favorites. I wanted good holiday cookies to eat during the Christmas holiday and these were perfect. I’m so glad I got to have what I wanted - really good Christmas cookies. Thank you ♥️
I made 8 kinds of cookies from this recipe and they turned out amazing! So delicious! Thank you for this perfect cookie making tutorial! ❤ Best I ever made!
@@beatrizsandoval4395 Sorry for my late reply! I made vanilla snowball cookies and piped cookies, all three kinds of chewy cookies, gingerbread man cookies, Linzer and star cookies!
A long process, but very beautiful at the end! For anyone one in the UK thinking of replacing the molasses with golden syrup, make sure you add more flour to counter it being super sticky! Thanks for sharing :)
Very nice! I often dip my cookies (halfway) in chocolate, white or dark. Your presentation is great! This year I plan ribbon cookies, angel crisps and mint chocolate sandwich.
I want to do the same to gift to my loved ones. How many assorted boxes would you say one recipe yields? I’m calculating how many times I need to multiply it for. Thank you!!
Made this dough and it was very good! The time it takes to make each cookie dough, however took hours. I was exhausted after 6 kinds of cookies. I started baking after 3 hours of mixing and refrigerating. The cookies are very small but good to give away as gifts. I ended up making pizelles, peanut butter blossoms, and filling in the gift boxes. Overall great recipes! Happy holidays, everyone!
Merry Christmas Aya! Thank you for sharing your amazing gifts with us! May your holidays be filled with joy and your New Year be filled with health, happiness, and love❤️
Ok I made these last year and it’s a lot of work but so worth it! I bought different fruit jams like apple, apricot, blueberry and made the best cookies ever😊 I didn’t want to share with my family. Every variety was delicious
This recipe is amazing!!! So easy to follow and fun cookies to make. Each type of cookie has about 6-8 each, although I skipped a few types. I can't pick my favorite! I'm excited to make more to give away as presents! Definitely will do again even thought it took 4 hours 😅
This is awesome! Am having to bake cookies for church bake sale and look forward to trying. I like that I don't need to make icing for ginger bread cookies
I love your recipe and i enjoyed doing it…. As I am not as energetic I break down the process by 2. I did the desire dough and leave it to the chiller for next day Creation. The Fun-part is putting them to shapes and sizes and adding different nuts and dried fruits and see them rise …… Thank you very much for the demonstrations, the technics and beautiful Content, it is Inspiring ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you, Aya! This recipe has transformed my Christmas Cookie dilemma! These cookies are tasty, very cute and easy to make a good variety! Thank you for doing all the calculating for me too!
Thank you for the tips at the end; cooking cookies has always been my downfall. And these tips helped a lot. Much appreciated. Great video. Lovely watching all the varieties. You're an excellent presenter. Thanks, again.
This Christmas cookie video is the only one I ever need I feel! It's fantastic and I love how we can be basic or follow her lead on getting them next-level at the end! THANK YOU!
Just watched suns not up but as soon as it is I’m making these was searching for days for great recipes and yours is hands down the best and simplest one offering such darling cookies. Can’t wait to get up and already shared with mom sister and niece 😂👍❤️ thank you awesome clear video 👏
Super happy that it's one recipe and then you mix it up. It's a good video to send to my friends who are learning to bake. I'm the chaotic one who will bake for hours on end. I love being in the kitchen. But I also need recipes like this for when I have little ones around who want 10 cookies but I'm not going to make 10 different doughs. ^.^
I just made this dough b/c I really wanted one easy dough to get a lot of different cookies. However, this dough is really too soft for cut gingerbread men, (I added the exact gingerbread ingredients from your blog). How much more flour or other ingredients would you recommend adding so that it holds its shape better without losing flavor or being too dry?
You are genius! I love all your valuable tips very useful I will make holiday cookies following yours 😜😜 Question! How many minutes you chill the dough cookie before baking? Thank you!
My compliments to the chef! I never expected to see an Asian chef making Christmas cookies! 😲THANK YOU SO MUCH for these and especially your sliced cookies you spent so much time and work on, like the tree and the Santa! I do have a question though, on the base dough, can I substitute AP flour and almond extract for the almond flour, and if so, how much extract? THANKS AGAIN! GREAT JOB!
Thank you! About almond flour, you might be able to alternate with 1/3-2/3 of all purpose flour. I’m sorry I can’t give you an exact measurement since I haven’t tried it.
Yes. I haven’t tried it, so I cant give you the exact measurements but I recommend alternating with less amount of all purpose flour since all purpose flour makes cookies a lot more crunchier than almond flour.
I'm so hungry now ☺️ what a versatile recipe I will definitely try some of these... It's a while since I made piped cookies so may start with these as Christmas gifts 💗
