Hello, I liked your video tutorials. Very informative. I have recently started using and learning LS-DYNA on my own to perform a "structural collapse analysis under seismic conditions" but not getting the desired results. As a first step, I am unaware of the Unit System LS-DYNA uses for my model. For example-when value 10 is entered as the termination time there is no way to tell whether it is in "Seconds" or "Milliseconds" and similar with other units also. I am trying to perform Quasi-static analysis under the gravity for my structure along with soil and PML. The problem is- sometimes the structure is moving against the gravity or sometimes sinks down too deep or quickly into the soil PML when the dynamic relaxation is activated. I have read the manuals from LSTC but unable to formulate to my model. As not so familiar to LS-DYNA, I guess I may be missing some critical parameters. So a little help if possible will be greatly appreciated.
Hi Jai, thanks for the kind words. We’ll be covering this type of fundamentals in our upcoming training course in Portland, Oregon, USA, from May 8-12. It’s an excellent opportunity for hands-on training with LS-DYNA experts. www.predictiveengineering.com/support-and-training/ls-dyna-training
Hi Jai, can you give me your email. I am doing in the same topic. We can have some discussion or you can contact me (nguyenvanquang240484@gmail.com). Thanks
Im using ansys wb at the moment ...and trying to get that hour glassing down. Unfortunately most videos on this are for LS-Dyna :8 ..anyway still a nice video. Keep it up.
Hi, where can I get these notes about hourglassing? I need it for my bachelors thesis please
