@KIMjB72 Just like the woman who wrote this song (British musician/ producer Kate Bush). Only Kate was signed, plus given full copyright and artistic control over her work by the age of 16. Started her own production company at 19 and now has her own record label. He better not take too long. The clock is ticking.
I love this young man. When I first heard him I was blown away. From time to time I just listen to his voice, his falsetto is crazy. I have never really been a fan of people doing remakes, but he does covers and he does it respectfully and amazingly. If you can’t out do the original or do it as good, you are disrespecting the artist and shouldn’t touch it. This is what I love about him, he does them with such care and perfection. He respects the song and artist. Love how he approached Tevin Campbell and asked if he can sing for him. Tevin was speechless and blown away. I love how humble he is. I would love for him to make it, but this industry is shady, hopefully he can do independent and not have to deal with a Diddy or record label…..
But he is disrespecting the original, written, produced and recorded by British musician Kate Bush in 1988, by doing the cheesy Maxwell version, full of insincere R&B showboating.
