Man, thanks a lot for your guide. It was the most straightforward tutorial I've found about QK65. I've build my kbd thanks to you! Have a wonderful day
Nice, informative guide! The QK65 will be my 3rd build and your guide will surely help all the first time builders for what looks and sounds to be an amazing entry board.
glad you enjoyed it! this channel is honestly just a weird place to dump videos that I feel like sharing. but i like keyboards a lot so there's a chance you'll see more keyboard stuff in the future. thanks again!
it looks like r2 should still come with the owlstabs but are classified as "free gifts", which means if they just happen to be missing, or are damaged, they won't be replaced.
it depends on where you live actually since qwertykeys will either fulfill themselves if you're in the US (i think), or you would have had to go through a regional distributor. since i'm in asia, i had to go through swagkeys. with that said though, i have no idea if there's still stock of the QK65 anywhere and you may need to wait for a future round if they do another one again. but as of this comment the QK80 is about to be available for purchase so you might be able to grab one of those if you don't mind the TKL layout.
The stabilizers didn't come with any spacers so as far as I know it should be a standard thickness for the PCB. I didn't test it with other PCB mount stabs, though.
I really like the in-depth build discussion. I will have another look at this before my QK65 arrives.

I'm happy the video helped! Enjoy your keyboard!
Thank you so much for this, I had no idea where to begin and other guides were confusing too. Helped me out a ton! Keep it up!

Thanks for this, I've learned a lot about mechanical keyboards from your vids!
Thank you for the great step by step. Used your video to build my first one. Loving the qk65
when did you bought it?
what are those black arrow keycaps, and thank you very much for the build guide
you're welcome! the alphas are a set called GMK Pixel, and the modifiers are the "blocknet" modifiers from GMK Laser
Thanks for the video! I will be watching this when I get my R2 group buy!
gotta check if the plate foam is sticking out too much, if so , please remember to tuck them inside the bottom case ( the casted alu piece)
i hope to see more keeb vids in the future coz this was a really good watch!

Nice, maybe thinking about getting one of these and this was informative, thanks for the vid.
Thank you very much. Subbed !
did u not cut out the pe foam where ur stab stem hits? it feels mushy if not
I didn't, actually, and you're right, they do feel a bit mushy. I'll cut out the stab holes the next time I open my case.
is there a video or guide showing this?
in the background, is it GMMK Pro?
It is!
Does it come with the plug to plug it in?
The R1 kit that I got came with a coiled USB cable but I decided to not use it since I already had one that I liked!
Nice! I hopped on with r2, unfortunately I'll have to wait another 8-10 weeks before it arrives, do you know if r2 comes with included stabs?

Okay good to know :)
@@__sil finnaly got my qk65:)
i like it
where tf do u order/find qk65s?

Is the pcb 1.2mm? Or regular thickness?

I'm pretty sure it's 1.2mm, but the Owlstabs are compatible with it. Atleast that's what I've gathered from the Discord.
