I've been using mine for over a year now. Very much worth the price . Only bad part is the screen is very fragile and breaks easily. But for every day use, I love it. I use it daily.
I've had the Chuwi Hi10 plus for a since 2017 and no problem with the screen, is this really worse...?
There are many complaints about that tablet, but I actually bought it and use it with almost no problems. The only thing that broke in over a year of use is SD Card reader. I tweaked it a little in bios, and unlocked it's 1600MHz RAM which was locked at 1067MHz in beginning which made it pretty snappy. This thing is actually capable of playing some decent(yet older) Windows games. I'm actually able to play Fallout New Vegas on it with 720p resolution and low graphics. This tablet is definitely NOT for people who want to buy something working and never care about it, but for a person who likes to tweak and experiment on it, it's well worth the money.

My friend has this machine and just yesterday he was showing it to me and broke the display while taking it out of the dock. Very flimsy device.

Lazlo Aluisa I have one and contrary to this review, mine goes into windows tablet mode when detached from the keyboard while running Windows 10 and returns to standard Windows 10 when reconnected to the keyboard.

if i buy this, can i format the memory and install fresh windows 10 and remove the android? that way will i get more space and can i put m.2 ssd inside it?

Yeah, thats a problem; Win10 is too problematic on its own (many apps are too slow), it needs Android on it...
The hi10 air can't be dual booted.. Please check before you buy!

Can you update windows?
I bought a dual boot mini PC before, when I tried to update windows it wiped android partitions therefore making a single boot system.

A Diallo I mean look, my school provide us laptops, only chuwi’s, and this model particularly, hi 10 air, but of course there are a lot of restrictions in them, and android won’t boot due to the restrictions of the administration, I will tell you that it’s very suitable for school and college and is more then enough, it will work just fine with no issues
is it possible to get windows mobile with these systems? I'm not gonna lie tho I like the idea here think I may purchase one at some point.

Save your money. It's crap... Worked terribly for a week then dead.
People should just buy older business laptops rather than cheap things like that. I’d recommend an old Dell E7440. Bought mines on ebay. I5-4300u, 128 GB SSD, 4 GB of RAM easily upgradable, 1080p display for 249$
My thoughts exactly for a primary laptop, but if someone wanted something lighter with good battery life and a decent IPS screen then this looks like a good option and you can find it new on eBay for $160 or $110 for the plus model which is essentially the same tablet that has a bigger screen and battery but cheaper keyboard.
Cameron retason I understand but they just break so easily. They just feel cheap out of the box. I’d understand for something on the go, but even then, an iPad mini or an HP Stream 11 feels better than that
William Saad I have been looking at this device for a while and really want one. But as a tablet. I do not understand why people try to use this as a full laptop. In that regard I completely agree with you.
Depends on what you are looking for. This is a 10" light weight device. I don't see how a 14" laptop is a replacement. It weights three times as much and can't be used as a tablet. It you are looking at a laptop... buy all means look at older ones to save money.
However, at 10" someone is buying this due to its small size, weight, portability, and tablet functionality. A 10" device you can put in a coat pocket. With a Dell E7440, you need a backpack. A 10" device would be handy on airplanes, meetings, train, etc. It might also be good for a shop or showroom floor, to take on sales calls for invoices, to carry around a hospital/clinic for imaging or charts, for sales entry or credit card processing at a convention, etc. It's competition is an iPad, Galaxy Tab, or Surface Go.
@@cameronretason5073 I have had the Plus model for a few years with a cheap micro usb keyboard/case, I prefer it to the Chuwi keyboard - Only problem is that the microSD slot died this summer, but its not a big deal as it has usb 3 for fast sd card connection...

Great battery life as i have 2 of them. But they heat up and heat up till the point of not being able to hold them. I personally would never buy one again

This is pretty much all TH-cam is these days. People peddling crap for GearBest or Amazon affiliate links. That thing is a heap of junk. Don't go near it with a 10 foot barge pole. Embarrassing
When a cheap $200 2-in-1 has an integrated numpad in the keyboard but nearly every other high-end laptop has gotten rid of such a useful feature....

If You think about it if You are in the market for a tablet and planning to spend more than 100£ You might as well go with this.
As a secondary machine , or for traveling I think it's perfect , infact I am thinking of buying it for traveling and just casual browsing

I don't suggest anyone to buy it because of the quality concerns of this tablet. I bought this last year and it literally worked for 2 days before the touch recognition failed to work on the top of the screen.

I just got it and the wifi connection on this thing is so slow that i can't watch youtube properly, browsing web and reading book is slightly slow but not an issue, the only problem is the internet connection, i'm hesitant whether or not to return it.
I have the older Chuwi Hi10 plus and never had a problem with the wifi; probably need to send that back...

Yes, it is cheap due to running an arm board. It has low specs for suitable needs, not for gaming.
I have one of these, and I love it. When I use it for Windows at home I plug a usb hub into it with trackball, external hard drive, dvd-rom drive, and a dual band wifi receiver (built in wifi is only 2.4ghz), then I use the micro hdmi to plug it into my tv. Lots of games play quite well on it like this, but higher end games aren't likely to do as well. You won't be playing Skyrim on it, but I get Borderlands 2 running nicely enough.
What's the battery like?
@@synthiapyre5618 Well, I've had It for like two years now. It had a really good battery life for the first year and a half or so, but now not as much, so I tend to keep it plugged in while using it. But I've yet to own a device that I haven't had that happen with in that time.

I own one of these and have had nothing but problems. The screen scratched easily from the pen that came with it and the device won't even boot anymore. I personally would not recommend at all.

A little bit when the screen is closed, but it's only on the edge of the device, the actual screen and keyboard are closed

Very few have Windows and Android, Windows 10 has many problems on a small computer/tablet so you need the Android...

Strange; I have the older Hi10 plus and that charges quicker, I thought the air had a usb C charge socket which should be better (mine works on plugged in power on Android but uses the battery on Windows even as it shows that its plugged in)
Just stumbled across this tablet recently as I'm wanting a tablet again. My primary use would be watching TH-cam or Anime.
Anything heavy I'm thinking of using Moonlight and streaming my PC to do whatever else the Tablet can't handle on its own.

Just get a used Asus T100
I'd stay away from that tablet as I had a terrible experience with their other version of that tablet. They put the slowest storage on that device it's laughable how that even was usable enough to justify selling the crappy device.
I suffered with the thing for a few years, installing roms and formatting the storage to f2fs or something like that to keep it going didn't help for long and the extremely annoying very common slowdowns doing nothing but running one app was just unacceptable for the price they sold them for.
I didn't expect to run a lot of apps with 1 gig of ram, but at least would expect it to not freeze the device for 30+ seconds at a time browsing 1 tab on the internet or opening google play or most other apps...
