I was like 4 when i first played this game on my brother's PS. I just roam aimlessly around that snow town and kicking stuff because i still dont understand what to do next, but i loved it
I spent many years trying to figure out what this game was. I was about three when I played this, and all I remembered was that it was a 3d game on the PlayStation that had gameplay of putting a fire out early on and vaguely relating it to Mega Man. Going on to forums to look for help and doing multiple searches on Google led to dead-ends. Nothing that I found seemed similar in terms of screencaps. Just tonight, while doing a dive through Gamestop's retro section online, I decided to look through the PS1 games. I saw the cover art for this game, and my suspicions were aroused enough to warrant a Google search of this title. The first screencap I came across nearly brought me to tears, as the realization that after all these years of searching for that one game I couldn't for the life of me remember the title of, I managed to find it after a random jump down Gamestop's retro rabbit hole. The sometimes mentally strenuous search for this childhood memory was finally put to rest. I can't wait to get my hands on this game again someday.
@@KINDERGARTEN-COP The portable Playstations never really caught my interest, tbh (or really any Sony console other than the original Playstation and the PS2, but that's because those are a couple of consoles I played as a child). I'm only going to get the original console and some games for it for nostalgic purposes as of right now. I wouldn't mind getting a PSP or PS Vita someday just to experience them, but I've already got some plans laid out for what consoles I want to get next.

The writers of this game's storyline and script really went above and beyond in pretty much every regard! The dialogue is tighter and feels more natural, the cutscenes are excellently directed... the whole thing really makes me feel like I'm playing an anime OVA! And the SCOPE of the game's story and how it continues from the first game is REALLY hiked up! When I realized while first playing it that I'd actually end up going to Elysium in space, I was already blown away - and then I saw how it was designed and laid out, and I was EVEN MORE blown away. It all just captures that same air of "foreboding mystery" the first game had in regards to elements like the Gates, the Reaverbots, Elysium and Eden... and expands on it by leaps and bounds. It really is an enormous loss that Capcom flaked out on making Legends 3... what a missed opportunity!!! Not to mention Capcom actually trying to pawn off responsibility onto the FANDOM for "not showing enough interest" (which, first off, class-act, Capcom... reeeeeal classy, there >:\ - second - and most important, here - BULL-FUCKING-SHIT "not enough interest!" Is our supposed "lack of interest" the reason the comments sections of literally EVERY SINGLE TH-cam VIDEO about Mega Man Legends has at LEAST one comment - usually many, many more - expressing both a desire to play Legends 3 and/or DEEP disappointment that they'll almost certainly never be able, at this point??? Seriously, I defy anyone here to find JUST ONE Mega Man Legends video - be it review, retrospect, longplay, let's play, walkthrough, commentary, whatever - in which not a single person brings up Legends 3 in the comments once. I'm convinced you won't find one. Because people want this game THAT MUCH, to where it's nigh-impossible to even BRING UP Mega Man Legends without addressing Legends 3.

I agree with the exception of MM himself, though they kind of changed his whole personality too. He seemed a lot more confident in 1, and his voice was more reassured. The demeanor from that first cutscene in MML alone is completely different from the mega man that shits his pants flying a ship.

This is so true. This was at a time when localization and good voice acting wasn't even considered important. You can tell all the main voice actors are really into it. In particular I think yuna is really good, and of course the bonnes.

I can't believe Capcom cancelled their plans to make Mega Man Legends 3. Now we'll never know how Mega Man gets home or what the Elder System is and why the humans shut it down.
Speculatively, I think they shut it down because it was going to become/became a Skynet type of awareness. And that's the whole reason I think there are so many machines about.

An indie dev is working on a very promising legends-inspired game called Delta Gal. He's got a playable build out that you can play. Its really good for a one man project, and her really captured the look and feel of these games.
I never knew there was a Megaman Legends 2... until now. How I wish I could have the chance to play this game ....and I still have a crush on Roll and Tron... and to see Tron in glasses 😍
So, what we could expect on the remake? Obviously on mine and the community, it would be open world sandbox that even reach Elysium, space, moon and Mars, 35 hours of total longplay, expansion pathway of bonne pirates whether in side gig, conditionally evil megaman and main story [quality of life choices that doesn't effect story but, the rewards] and finally, annually grand event like grand prix and treasure hunt. That's all I got in mind.
I played this game when I was very little, probably 7 years old or 8, don't remember much but I do remember getting stuck in the snowy area for a loooong time lmao. I don't think I got very far past that, the snowy area is all I remember. It's truly amazing how back then we thought this were life-like graphics

This was so nostalgic! I used to just play in the snowy area in the beginning. I loved the duck and the monkey! I remember the inside of the ship! And the sound effects! Like the text and the duck. I couldn’t get past the part where you have to save a little girl from a fire. Maybe once. But I stopped after that. Okay so apparently the monkey is the one you had to save. But still.
This is one of my favorite games from my childhood. A few years ago I saw you could download it from the Playstation store so I downloaded it onto our ps3 we had at the time. Then my gf gave the ps3 to one of her friends at work who didnt have a lot of money so her kids could have a game system, and with it went my copy of the game. I only play on pc now but I wonder if those kids ever realized the game was downloaded on there and if they played it.
Damn, I was like 6 when I played this game and I remember just replaying the first part because I didn't know how to proceed so I would be in the snowy village going everywhere and interacting with everything and entering houses even though I couldn't read english It was really fun, no wait I remember that it wasn't that I didn't know how to continue It was because I was too scared to explore the cave so I would just go in it for just a bit then run back because I was scared I would be lost or something might pop up good times

4:29:15 This was where my game ended as a kid. For whatever reason, maybe a particular scratch on the disc, my playstation would not load past this point. Id walk in, see the jelly fish thing, but megaman would never walk forward. He would just stand there with the jellyfish floating there ominously. Nothing would happen. No controller inputs did anything. I was so bummed out because i was LOVING the game up to that point. Still bugs me.
I beat Megaman Legends 2 before I beat the first game. I need to do another runthrough asap, I don't think I unlocked all the weapons but I unlocked the one on the front cover. Whew AMAZING game

The composer Makoto Tomozawa has asked fans on Twitter if they would be up for crowdfunding Mega Man Legends 3 He hopes to get at least 10,000 retweets. Nobody knows exactly why Tomozawa put out this tweet - but presumably, it's because he'd like to see the third game released and thinks a crowdfunded project could be the solution.
Or he gonna need some help, getmeoffthemoon community alongside with JJ chalupnik and team-mega-misfits are going to remake a game, even just an intro. It will be a stepping stones and foundation for megaman return.

Plus I shockingly never played Mega-Man Legends 2. I need to buy it on the PSN as well. So sad that this franchise stopped at 2. I prefer the 3D Mega Man spin off. The popular 2D games never did it for me unfortunately. I’ve always preferred this Mega-Man style and gameplay. So much better and more to my liking. That’s just my opinion. Voice acting in ML2 is way better than it has to be. So much love was put into this title. Crossing fingers for the series to be revived in any way.

This was so nostalgic! I used to just play in the snowy area in the beginning. I loved the duck and the monkey! I remember the inside of the ship! And the sound effects! Like the text and the duck. I couldn’t get past the part where you have to save a little girl from a fire. Maybe once. But I stopped after that.
Okay so apparently the monkey is the one you had to save. But still.
The graphics have certainly improved on this one, it's amazing 😁😁
Played this as a kid. Couldn’t beat one of the bosses, and just gave up. 😅
This is one of my favorite games from my childhood. A few years ago I saw you could download it from the Playstation store so I downloaded it onto our ps3 we had at the time. Then my gf gave the ps3 to one of her friends at work who didnt have a lot of money so her kids could have a game system, and with it went my copy of the game. I only play on pc now but I wonder if those kids ever realized the game was downloaded on there and if they played it.

Damn, I was like 6 when I played this game and I remember just replaying the first part because I didn't know how to proceed so I would be in the snowy village going everywhere and interacting with everything and entering houses even though I couldn't read english It was really fun, no wait I remember that it wasn't that I didn't know how to continue It was because I was too scared to explore the cave so I would just go in it for just a bit then run back because I was scared I would be lost or something might pop up

4:29:15 This was where my game ended as a kid. For whatever reason, maybe a particular scratch on the disc, my playstation would not load past this point. Id walk in, see the jelly fish thing, but megaman would never walk forward. He would just stand there with the jellyfish floating there ominously. Nothing would happen. No controller inputs did anything. I was so bummed out because i was LOVING the game up to that point. Still bugs me.

i love this game!
i played the pc version, which is hard to find now. and plus my pc nolonger support it cuz no have the disc drive. and u now what, i d like the Japanese version i played. best memory of my childhood. still remember my mother buy it for me for the summer vacation.

The composer Makoto Tomozawa has asked fans on Twitter if they would be up for crowdfunding Mega Man Legends 3 He hopes to get at least 10,000 retweets. Nobody knows exactly why Tomozawa put out this tweet - but presumably, it's because he'd like to see the third game released and thinks a crowdfunded project could be the solution.
Or he gonna need some help, getmeoffthemoon community alongside with JJ chalupnik and team-mega-misfits are going to remake a game, even just an intro. It will be a stepping stones and foundation for megaman return.
I want to believe this an that a legends 3 could be a possibility one day but I don't think my heart could handle being let down when it doesn't come through

I miss being a kid. Plus I shockingly never played Mega-Man Legends 2. I need to buy it on the PSN as well.
So sad that this franchise stopped at 2. I prefer the 3D Mega Man spin off. The popular 2D games never did it for me unfortunately. I’ve always preferred this Mega-Man style and gameplay. So much better and more to my liking. That’s just my opinion. A controversial one at that. Please don’t hate me. 😣

I used to play a Mega Man game when I was a kid for the PS1. I thought it was this game but it looks nothing like I remember.
Damn I only played the 64 (1) and I don't knew there was a sequel. Damn this one has a better character development than the first one. Is almost like watching an anime, so cool!
