Linda obra contemporânea. Quanta alegria rítmica e homenagens a Boulez, Bartók e Ligeti, dentre outros mestres.

Merci..

Superb playing and conducting but then that is always to be expected from Ensemble intercontemporain and Mathias Pintscher!

I think from hearing pintscher work and his conduction of this ensemble he was just in Miami last year he is one of the most known composer conductors around. Still young perhaps our Boulez . Just there are so many well trained, resourceful composers now. Have their ever been 20 Beethoven's living at the same time.Eotvos, chin,Norman ,Missy,Haas, lachenmann, saariaaho, beat furer, the guy who wrote Play is fabulous. their are too many greats to even name now!

Cosmic? Gorgeous? These echoes of darkness which inhabit us and which we deny, reminiscences of time immemorial where Lilith - before Eve - consoled Adam, voice of the splendid Nature that the proud bipeds despise unjustly, lyrical lament of organs abandoned in ruined chapels. The unfolding of these melodies delivers us a moment from our chains and delights the soul by propelling it into dionysiac dens resplendent with chaos where the devils laugh at the sour Reason who goes grumbling 💖

There is a lot of contemporary music which frankly anymore is hopeless and useless. I saw a 2009 piece on TH-cam the other day which consisted of Bleeps, Dwops and Blorps most of the time and funny sounds. That stuff was done 50 years ago and is no longer "new" and is, therefore, no longer interesting. To me it`s just stupid. THIS Scales selection by M. Bertrand, however, is fantastic!! It says something. It communicates a valid idea and really puts the musicians to the test. I loved it! I must check into John Martin`s suggestion below.
